Penn State commit, Alexander Karmanov, who is currently listed at 7'1" tall and 280 lbs. was taken in the 6th round by San Jose. According to this profile from the NYT, his custom stick is 2 inches taller than Jake Kraft:

Can't wait to hear how he's "still growing into his frame."

MacDonald scored for Colorado in game
2 of their AHL conference final series against Chicago, en route to a 5-2 win which knotted the series at 1-1. Video here: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1598213262306010&id=ColoradoEagles

Game 3 is tonight.

We do have 2 alums still active in the AHL playoffs. Colorado (Jacob MacDonald and Matt Stienburg) is down 1-0 in their conference final series against Chicago. MacDonald has definitely been playing, but I don't believe Stienburg has been in the lineup during the playoffs.

Malinski and the Avs were officially eliminated by Vegas last night, leaving us without any alums still playing in the league.

Vegas took a 3-0 series stranglehold over Colorado tonight. It was not Malinski's best game either, especially when he got turned inside out trying to defend Hertl on the rush, leading to the Vegas GWG.

Not a good night for Cornellians on Ottawa: after Guilday's own goal made it 1-0 Montreal, Jenner got walked on a shorty that made it 2-0, and then later committed another bad turnover leading to Montreal's 4th goal.

Montreal's first goal in game 4 of the Walter cup final is an own goal deflection off of Guilday's stick.

Looks like Sam is back in for Game 1 tonight, and with Makar out, he may get some time on the PP and PK:

According to reports, Malinski participated in "full practice" with the Avs this week, so hopefully he'll be good to go for game 1 of the WCF on Wednesday!

Not just any commentator either: it was Erik Johnson, former #1 overall pick and Sam's teammate (and fellow Minnesotan and d-man) on Colorado last season.
