If Dartmouth loses, we share the Ivy title with Brom. If they tie, it's a 3-way title share. If they miraculously come back and win the game, they win the title outright.by KenP - Hockey

The shots-on-goal don't tell the whole story of how well Cornell is playing. Several "just wide" non-SOGs. This is the 3rd game I've watched (online) this year. Definitely the best I've seen. They're hitting well, passing well. Just not showing it on the scoreboard.by KenP - Hockey

This year will set a new record for lowest ECAC points for the first place team. Max is 30, could be as low as 28. The previous low was 31 (1995).by KenP - Hockey

Re: NCAA tournament - 20 years ago
At-large bid is gone. We're too low to even be a bubble team. Being in the underperforming ECAC, we can't get enough "quality" wins with our remaining ECAC-only schedule to move up and earn an at-large bid. Our only chance is to win the tourney and get the autobid.by KenP - Hockey

Avash '05 wrote: At least it wasn't a disallowed goal in the Frozen Four though. Hope that never happens to us! Oh.....wait...... Oh, you are sadistic, bringing that back up! What still bothered me with that call was the 7-8 minutes needed to make the (correct) call. We had them on the ropes, they got the double benefit of the waived-off goal AND the breather.by KenP - Hockey

Re: Prospect Updates - 20 years ago
I always heard "insurance goal" as a goal that pads your lead. ENGs count, but so does a goal at the end of the 2nd that gives you a 2-goal lead.by KenP - Hockey
