The last 3 weeks of the regular season, capped by the St. Lawrence / Clarkson sweep was a close second, if not the high point for me. After the rough January, we found our form. Re: QF Game 3, Game Thread - 20 years ago
I know! Let's blame everything on the fans who jingled their keys with 4 minutes left on Friday night! Win or lose I'll always be a diehard Lynah Faithful. This team gave us more excitement than we expected for a rebuilding year, and I'm confident in our chances next season. GO RED!!by KenP - Hockey

different perspective - 20 years ago
McSorley believes Bertuzzi did not intend harm: I'm not trying to excuse Bertuzzi's actions, but I'm starting to waffle on how long he should be suspended for. Regardless of Moore's condition I think he should be allowed to play next season. The act was vicious, but he's otherwise a classy player and also a "first-time offender". For argument sake, say Western is swept, and their RPI is .4995. Let's also say that Cornell is a top 15 team according to (pre-bonus) RPI at selection time. Re: Zambonis? - 20 years ago
you got me curious, so I contacted the company. A new model 100 (bottom line) costs $9,000. The standard model 700 costs about $65,000by KenP - Hockey
Re: Pairwise Ranking - 20 years ago
It's a slippery slope. Their RPI is .5060, just over TUC status. If they lose 2 that could lower them below .5000. But wait! If Cornell sweeps (a must if we are talking about at-large bids), we might crack the RPI top 15. In that case, Western now has a "quality road win" that could push their RPI back over .5000.by KenP - Hockey

OT: Hockey Least Thursday Scores - 20 years ago
(8) BU 3, (1) BC 2 (4) UNH 2, (5) PC 1 (3) UMA 6, (6) Lowell 3 Big surprise in Boston. -- BC 0 for 7 on power play, including 2:00 5x3. 2 goals by BC, including a goal with :39.9 left, made the game interesting. BU wins despite huge shot differential. Age, fyi, this is my last post edit.by KenP - Hockey
Re: Clarkson SUCKS! - 20 years ago
I may not be talking about it but I'm certainly thinking about it. If only there wasn't the distraction of not knowing if there will be any internet broadcast. Maybe it's because they were so good when I was on the Hill, but Clarkson always scares me. No question this is the biggest test of the year so far. My biggest concern is remains the offense. Injuries are hopefully gone, but theby KenP - Hockey

Re: OT: Clinton to be Convocation Speaker - 20 years ago
ugarte Wrote: The commencement speaker was always Frank Rhodes, wasn't it? He was great at all of the graduations I saw him at, but in 1992 he was especially kind - he kept it as short as possible and let us get out of the rain. What a brutal day. For some reason I remember there being two speakers on the program. Maybe it was just Frank. I do remember his cutting the speech way short.by KenP - Hockey
Question on the fee - 20 years ago
Is the speaking fee payable to Mr. W J Clinton, or is his speaking contingent on a donation to the Clinton Library Fund (or whatever it's called)? If the latter, it's reasonabe to charge higher fees due to the tax benefits.by KenP - Hockey
Re: OT: Clinton to be Convocation Speaker - 20 years ago
The '92 convocation speaker was Geraldine Ferraro. Excellent speaker. The '92 commencement speaker did not speak due to heavy rain and near freezing temperatures.by KenP - Hockey
