Re: CU Lax @ Dartmouth - 9 years ago
That's almost right, but because Cuse plays fewer games than Albany (14 vs 17, assuming they both make it to the finals of their conf tournaments), a Cuse win would be slightly better for Cornell's RPI.by CU77 - Other Sports

If anyone wants to watch it, Gabe Dean's match begins just after the 1h30min mark of the archived broadcast of the championship round on ESPN3.by CU77 - Other Sports
Re: CU Lax vs Albany in Texas - 9 years ago
Virginia got hammered by Cuse, who are looking more and more like the nation's top team. A Cornell win over the Cavs next Saturday is certainly doable.by CU77 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell 16 @ Hobart 8 lax @ Binghamton - 9 years ago
Binghamton game is Tues (at 5), not Sat. We'll see if it gets moved.by CU77 - Other Sports
Re: Lax Coach-Poll - 9 years ago
Only coach that intrigues me is Pressler. If Cornell is open to that, he's presumably already been asked if he's at all interested. If not, I say sign Kerwick now. The other thing that has to be kept in mind: what happened to the last (non-interim) Richard M. Moran Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse at Cornell University. Any prospective coach has to be skittish about taking a job with a boss who fiby CU77 - Other Sports

I agree that I like this set of Ivy match-ups for us. I did not like the idea of Harvard coming back into Schoellkopf for a semifinal, with Harvard likely needing an Ivy tournament win to make the NCAAs (which is still true). And of course it's always nice to get a win over Princeton! Attendance at Bethpage was higher than at the ACC semis.by CU77 - Other Sports

Complete list of Ivy tournament scenarios with 6 Ivy games left to play: If a game is not listed on a line, it means that its outcome does not change the seeds (usually BvD, but sometimes CvPr). Re: Cornell lacrosse 2014 - 10 years ago
finchphil I wonder if Andy could lure John Tillman '91 back to Ithaca. With Maryland going to the Big 10, I think it's a bit of a downgrade for the Terps lacrosse program. Plus, he's a native of Corning. No chance. Established high-level coaches don't take jobs in the Ivy League where they have no scholarships to dole out. They start out in the Ivy League, do well, then leave to coach scholarshby CU77 - Other Sports
Re: Virginia @ Cornell lax 3/8/14 - Cor 12-9 final - 10 years ago
A Cornell goalie hasn't played that well against good competition since Freshman AJ Fiore had 15 saves against Loyola in a 3OT 12-11 NCAA playoff win in 2010.by CU77 - Other Sports
Re: Ben DeLuca fired - 10 years ago
ugarte CU77 Another signer of the letter of support for DeLuca, as published at Inside Lacrosse, is Professor Rosemary Avery, Chair of the Department of Policy Analysis and Management, and faculty advisor to the men's lacrosse team. Was she consulted before DeLuca was fired? If not, why not? Isn't faculty advisor a player liaison? Why would Professor Avery be consulted about personnel decisions iby CU77 - Other Sports
