Robb So....I just happened to have some old code lying around for KRACH and some for figuring out ECAC standings possibilities (who doesn't?), so I linked 'em up, threw a Monte Carlo wrapper around them, and voila! In my opinion, Schafer is too edgy to be head coach for Cornell. You don't want a guy who punches the wall so hard after a tie with BU that he seriously injures himself. After that incident, I lost a lot of confidence in him. Moreover, his anti-fish comments now just don't hold any water. Princeton was leading 3-0 during the first period. I think that on a good night, Cornell could beat Yale. It's too bad that the game is in New Haven, where Yale is 14-0. On the road, they are 8-5.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

If Cornell comes up with 2 points next weekend, they will need cooperation from either RPI (tie or loss) or Dartmouth (two ties or a loss) to remain in the top 4 of the ECAC. Princeton could complicate things if they run the table, but they will have to beat both Yale and Union.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

redice ebilmes Just want to clarify that the bench minor was the only Harvard PP that Cornell was able to successfully kill off. So, as stupid as the fans are who threw fish and other objects, that penalty was not the turning point in the game. You are overlooking the fact that the bench minor was indeed a momentum changing moment in the game.. And it tires out the guys who have to do all theby BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

Cornell has a better record than both Yale and Dartmouth for the New Year. 8-2-2 Cornell 8-3-1 Dartmouth 9-4-0 Yale A big advantage that Cornell has heading into the end of the season is depth at goalie, with two good players. Rondeau (Yale) and Mello (Dartmouth) both play >80% of the time and that becomes an issue as the season wears on. I think Cornell could beat either team, Darby BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

Highlights are here: Cornell was looking pretty bad at the end of the second period, taking lots of penalties. That led to a SLU 5x3 goal early in the 3rd period. Then a defensive lapse made it 3-1 SLU. However, the team showed a lot of character in making a big comeback. M and J Devin linked up for a deflected goal to tie up the game with less than 15 seconds left. J also deflected aby BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
