Re: cornell gets killed by penn 79-64 - 14 years ago
Did any of you see the game, or even listen to it? Any of you play a Division I sport? Penn was unbelievably hot tonight. Do you think the Cornell players liked losing to an "inferior" team? You all are whining. Suck it up and stand behind your team instead of dumping on them like fair weather fans.by dag14 - Other Sports

Re: Cornell Women's Hockey - 14 years ago
The women play a big game at Clarkson this afternoon -- 4 pm I believe. Does anyone know of any kind of media coverage? Even live stats? In the absence of any coverage, it would be great if fans with updates could post them regularly.by dag14 - Other Sports
Re: North Dakota Postgame 1/22 - 14 years ago
I arrived at 6:45 pm Friday night with a ticket to sell and I was not the only one unloading extra tickets that late. Lots of season ticket holders have extra tickets available even for sold-out games so it is quite likely that you can score tickets outside the ticket office entrance on game night....Any game but Harvard.by dag14 - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ KU Jan 6, 2010 - 14 years ago
That was a tremendous effort by Cornell and anyone who criticizes the players for their performanc obviously never played a team sport. To stay with, never mind lead, the #1 team in the nation at home suggests that Cornell can play with anyone. Whether the tournament committee notices or not doesn't really signify. The guys know what they are capable of.by dag14 - Other Sports

Thanks for posting the highlight video -- I didn't see the game so it was great to have a chance to get a flavor of what I missed.by dag14 - Hockey
Re: [MBB] vs. St. Joe's 12/6 - 14 years ago
Unfortunately, the actual Hawk mascot looked pretty lame. The wing movement activity was equivalent to the wimpy wave of a political candidate's wife during a campaign appearance. The tradition, however, is pretty amazing. Cornell fans should not make fun given that our mascot wasn't even present. What's up with that? Plenty of cheerleaders but no Bear????by dag14 - Other Sports

USCHO Nov. 2 poll has Cornell at #10. Neither Dartmouth or Harvard are ranked this week although both teams did receive some votes.by dag14 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell Women's Hockey - 14 years ago
I thought Cornell looked pretty strong throughout the game. They scored first, Harvard needed powerplays for at least 2 of their goals and we forechecked better than the men did against Niagara. We also got outstanding goaltending and heads up play in our own end. I have it on very good authority that this is the first weekend sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth in the history of the program makiby dag14 - Other Sports
Re: 2009 CU Hall of Fame class includes two hockey players - 14 years ago
Cornellians need to be nominated before they are considered for Hall of Fame induction. It is hard to weigh the relative merits of players without knowing what individuals are on the list of nominees.by dag14 - Hockey
Re: MLax NCAAs 2009: Hofstra 8 @ Cornell 11 (final) - 15 years ago
Why are you all grousing about the attendance? The game is played on the field. We don't get our seeding changed based on the number of fans who attended the game. Those of us who made the trip to Schoelkopf, drank a few beers with our friends and watched a great lax game can smile contentedly; those who chose to stay home and watch on TV because they didn't want to get wet or have to wait oby dag14 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell v. Syracuse Women's Hockey - 15 years ago
The women's game is different than the men's game and most fans of the men's game might find it less exciting. And traditionally Cornell has not had a nationally-ranked women's hockey team so the draw of going to Lynah to watch your team devastate the opposition didn't always exist either. While it won't happen over night, this is changing. Doug Derraugh is doing a great job recruiting extreby dag14 - Other Sports

Re: Andy Noel strikes again... - 15 years ago
How can you possibly blame this decision on Cornell when it is a state regulation that is being enforced? It is just too bad no one told the architects in advance. It will provide them a nice challenge next year to design a genuine green dragon so it can be burned for real.by dag14 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: [Wrestling] EIWA championships / NCAA Qualification tournament - 15 years ago
If you had seen the Army/Navy championship match at 149 you would understand why the Navy wrestler won OW -- he came from behind to win in a match that was as close and entertaining to watch as Jordan Leen's final match.by dag14 - Other Sports
