Re: Cornell at Dartmouth, 1/27 - 4 months ago
Al DeFlorio upprdeck Is it a different game? for sure. But its still hockey because it can and does happen in the real game even if in very limited situations. Like Bball when a game is played 5x3.. not fun to watch and doesn't happen that often, but it does. It happened in a real game for a reason: actual called penalties. It happens in overtime because some assholes decided to do it thaby upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Cornell's Sprint Football HC stepping down - 4 months ago
ugarte CU2007 rss77 Would help they set aside 10-15 admission slots for Sprint also. No thanks. Too many “reserved” spots as it is. Can’t be giving more away to basically a club sport that very few people care about. seriously. sprint football is almost a big flashing neon "Sue Me For Title IX Violations" sign. why? its self funded so it doesnt have the same rules..by upprdeck - Other Sports

If cornell wants to be on the edge of an at large they need to split with Princeton.by upprdeck - Other Sports

Trotsky Iceberg Looking at the play again, I still wonder why the refs didn't just award a goal when O'Leary was taken down on his way to the empty net. He was definitely tripped and he had already gotten ahead of the defender. When I saw the replay I thought it was a good poke. Jack was diving to push the puck into the net. He was not brought down by the stick. The stick made contact with him afby upprdeck - Hockey

RichH upprdeck if go on any kind of a run we get our RPI above .5600 and we move up 3-5 spots.. Are we good enough to do that. Like unbeaten in their last 7? That kind of run? Some of us need to chill out about the PWR situation in January and enjoy the rest of the regular season. We’ve barely begun the 2nd half of the league slate. Things are typically still fluid into March. Sheetz. theby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Harvard, 1/26 - 4 months ago
BearLover chimpfood The announcers have been repeating the same exact thing for about 5 minutes now. They spent way too much time talking about the PWR. Though, it was refreshing to hear a focus on the PWR rather than the conference standings. The Cornell announcers spend way too much time on the ECAC standings when it’s the PWR ranking that really matters. The Harvard announcers were also wrongby upprdeck - Hockey

at least the PP had a few chances.. Also didnt help the one clear trip on the PP went ignored as we were about to pull the trigger.by upprdeck - Hockey

billhoward Chris H82 Photos? I keep meaning to snap a photo when we drive past Game Farm Road (a bad name if it makes people think we're in the middle of farm country) but it's not exactly right alongside the highway. Hopefully there will be stately trees at the new sports facility in a decade or two. I wonder if there's room to be buried among the trees, outside the stadium. well it is next toby upprdeck - Other Sports

they said first time ever a team allowed a PP own goal without a shot on goal?by upprdeck - Hockey

VIEWfromK This was almost us the other night! yup.. that would been a classic way to lose. A weekend allowing a shortie, a Pen shot and an own goal.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Quinnipiac, 1/20 - 4 months ago
I thought once we forced the puck down to such a low angle you let the goalie take him and play the pass.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 4 months ago
Cornell led BU for 12 min. Since that game BU has only trailed 1 time for 8 min total.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Quinnipiac, 1/20 - 4 months ago
Trotsky At some point we will have five freshmen on the ice at the same time. The last time I can remember that happening was around 1991 in Troy, and they scored on us in about 8 seconds. I think the coaches said at one pt vs Mass? we had 5 on and they had 4 5th yr guys on the ice.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Quinnipiac, 1/20 - 4 months ago
we need another good weekend and get some help from the teams 3-4 spots ahead of us. our margin is gonna be small.by upprdeck - Hockey

UNH losing today helped us. Mich plays Wisc this weekend.. a sweep would help us thereby upprdeck - Hockey

CAS Last nite’s game was sold out. No tickets were available yesterday for the game. Re our frosh, they have been outstanding. They account for about 40% of our goals & assists this year. If Robertson gets drafted this year, that would make 6 of the frosh class. Yeah it was sold out.. aboout 10 min into the first period though Section O had a huge section of empty seats. So people camby upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Cornell vs Quinnipiac, 1/20 - 4 months ago
Trotsky St. Thomas is leading the CCHA? Huh. 2 leagues who wont likely get a top 16 team so need to find a way to get into the top 14. even winning last night in Reg would have moved us to 15. Root for BU/BC/Maine to play well down the stretch and Mass/Prov/UNH to stumble a bit more. Umass has 5 games vs those top 3 UNH has 6 Prov has 5 lose all of them and then stumble a bit tby upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Princeton, 1/19 - 4 months ago
scoop85 I just noticed that there’s no game write-up yet on the Cornell Athletics’ website. Hard to fathom that a school with our resources would allow such an embarrassment. you mean Athletics get their act together?by upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Cornell vs Princeton, 1/19 - 4 months ago
sloppy play for the last 30 min.. ASu didnt nearly get that many chances in 3 games. Quin looked flat all night Colg gets swept by LIU but beats QUIN.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Princeton, 1/19 - 4 months ago
that was the worst period we have played on D since the Quin game.. princeton was left open all over the place without really even carrying the puck.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Odds of winning 2024 NCAAs - 4 months ago
Trotsky upprdeck I would doubt that teams hosting would get much gate beyond cost to host.. the NCAA is gonna take most of the money. They can sell booze now tho. Do they sell it like cornell does or can you purchase any where in the arena? And who knows what rules the will come up with if they do it on who keeps the money the BBALL the schools dont keep it all. They even limit what the caby upprdeck - Hockey
