Re: Hahvahd @ Cornell - 11 years ago
Trotsky Getting out-muscled and, worse, out-positioned and, worst of all, out-hustled at Q was ugly. I'm sure it did not pass without comment from the coaching staff. Schafer is blunt in the CHA newsletter: "The early season started out great, but lately, we have been reading too many press clipping because our play has dropped off, and we have not been ready for how a nationally-rankedby Weder - Hockey

Re: Cornell women 5, BU 2 - 11 years ago
dag14 Today's BU TV commentary was brutal. The color guy was an idiot or he knew nothing about hockey. He asked his play-by-play guy why the ref blew his whistle to stop play when the goalie held onto the puck.... Last night's coverage was truly professional. ESPN could not have done better. How annoying was it that the announcers kept referring to Marie-Philip Poulin as "Philip Pouliby Weder - Hockey

ugarte Does the ivy league ever get at-large bids? I seem to recall that they do. Four Ivy teams made the 2010 tournament. I don't follow college soccer. Was that an unusually strong year for Ivy teams? EDIT: In scanning the past few years' brackets, it seems common for multiple Ivy teams to make the tournament.by Weder - Other Sports

Columbia going with small offensive line - 11 years ago
Former Cornell football coach Pete Mangurian thinks you can use smaller, more agile linemen in college football and doesn't want any fatties at Columbia. Interesting.by Weder - Other Sports

I started following the women's team in 1997, and it's been a great pleasure to see the program transform itself into a national power. It will be tough to see this group of seniors go, but they should be proud of the role they've played. Thank you, ladies.by Weder - Hockey
