Re: We're gonna be in the news again - 2 months ago
Both sides have sociopathic leaders who long ago decided the only way out is genocide. Now it's a race. If you accept that axiom, all following actions by both make sense. All well and good. Just don't pretend either side's leaders are any different. The way to peace, short of mass death, is each side's population of humans rises up and takes out the ghouls at the top of their own ticket, wby Trotsky - John Spencer Is Dead

As an Old, I have trouble with the values of OPS as intuitively graspable for goodness/badness. But I think I have an analogy with BA, the most intuitive for those of my vintage: OPS/3 Thus:1.000 elite .900 good .800 above average .750 average .700 below average .600 bad .500 Mets bad Is this broadly correct?by Trotsky - John Spencer Is Dead

abmarks upprdeck they would have to remove all the Canadian kids wouldnt they to pay NIL like that? Not necessarily. Was reading an article that talked about workarounds. If the Canadian kids get a different visa than the standard student visa was one way. Another was getting the nil for services rendered in Canada. billhoward upprdeck i wonder if they can even get permission to fly the drone over campus that fast the way things move in campus. Not to politicize this august forum but ... some might say at least in the past, one could paint the drone body in the colors of the Palestinian flag. underskillCan’t Cornell get Larry Tannenbaum to fund a men’s hockey collective and just try to buy a championship? If the funding model is moving in the same direction as everything else in this benighted timeline, this may not be far from truth. George64 In White Lotus, perhaps the most obnoxious character, among a host of really unlikable characters, Shane Patton, apparently went to Cornell, at least he wears a Cornell cap in episode 4, season 1. He is wearing it again later in the season. He is the most vile fictional Cornellian since the Objectivist waiter in Dirty Dancing. White missed the mark, though. The Rancor Dafatone VIEWfromK BearLover Robertson has almost no chance of an NHL career. I wasn't even considering the possibility that Jacob MacDonald or Joakim Ryan would play in the NHL based on their time at Cornell yet both have played in the league. Maybe you wouldn't call it a career but since I don't think Cornell turns out finished products it's kind of hard to really know Also, imby Trotsky - Hockey

BearLover CAS With the addition of Vellieux & Fisher, we should have 7 drafted players on next year’s team. If DiGuilian gets drafted, we will have 8. When was the last year Cornell had 8 or more draftees on the team? Long, Pirtle, & Hiscock all had outstanding years, but assume are too old to be drafted. One thing comes to mind is the CHL treats its players like trash, and hey suddenly there is competition and if you abuse a guy he's gone. That can only be good news for players. More importantly, a choice you make at 15 doesn't preclude getting a degree. I don't know what it will do to us, but I like it in principle. Choices are good.by Trotsky - Hockey
