Re: (OT) Pat Tillman - 20 years ago
Yes, indeed. The Elway situation was even messier. After being drafted by the sorry Colts in '83, he vowed never to play in Baltimore and was traded to Denver six days after the draft. The fans in Bawlmer took this personally. In their '83 season opener, the Colts hosted the Broncos, and my wife - a Colorado native and Bronco fan - thought it would be "fun" to go up from DC to see tby ninian '72 - Hockey

So Noel is proud of the new logo? It's a lot better for him to be proud. Yes, it would be better if he learned to be ashamed of the new logo. The new bear IS odd. Looks like he's trapped behind the C, unable to get out, and is enraged as a result. On the other hand, what do you do with a large, lumpy animal like this? Dress him up like Smokey but with a "C" cap?by ninian '72 - Hockey

Looking at it from the team's perspective, I think San Diego gamed the system as well as Manning did. I can't imagine that anyone in the front office would want him anyplace near their team, given his stated preferences. They drafted him anyway, dumped him, and wound up with two quality draft picks, including another outstanding quarterback who will probably work out better for them. Manning gby ninian '72 - Hockey

BTW did you see the video of him sitting in the box at the Leafs-Senators games? He looks, in his suit, so mild-mannered and normal. Check out the Frozen Four logoware website explanation: Please note: Team logos on the approval artwork were chosen by the manufacturer.
