Sieve - 18 years ago
In the old days around the gold rush, sieves were used to seperate the gold from the other crap which was allowed to pass through. Perhaps a modern day example of a sieve is a collander which is used to drain pasta. The pasta stays in the collander while the water passes through. The eLynah cheers page (the foremost authority on sieves) defines a sieve as follows: sieve \Sieve\, n.1. a deviby Facetimer - Hockey

Re: Students Bad Behavior - 18 years ago
I thought our cheers were very appropriate. We did lose with dignity. It certainly says something that we are still cheering down 6-1, while it took the Dartmouth fans a 4-1 lead to get some life. No joke, their student section was empty (maybe 4 students total -- no exaggeration) until half way through the 1st. McKee was awful last night and Schafer putting Chabot was probably the best coaching move Schafer made his entire career. McKee does not have any focus and can't play in big games. Certainly this year he has been worse than in the past. I hope Schafer sits McKee a game next weekend. I also think Chabot deserves some credit and another chance. He was certainly tested several times and only lby Facetimer - Hockey

DC to Boston: the easiest and cheapest way: I-270 W US-15 N I-81 N I-78 E I-287 E I-87 E I-684E I-84E I-90E It is probably about an extra 20-30 miles out of the way and there are some portions which are not highway on US-15. As nyiballs one time agent, I think you all should cut him a break here. Here are two reasons why he knows more than you about hockey and Mike Shafer: 1.
