I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Eric Lindros in this discussion. The following article is a pretty good recap of the trade and its effects over 10-years later.by RichH - Hockey

Hey, I'm surprised this wasn't posted before. Who are the captains for next year? And for the people here who don't know, how about a more detailed explanation of what each award means?by RichH - Hockey

NWS: A SECOND PERIOD OF STEADY RAIN FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY NIGHT WILL LIKELY BRING AN ADDITIONAL ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAINFALL TO THE AREA. IT IS THIS RAIN...FALLING IN ADDITION TO THE RAIN FALLING TONIGHT...THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING SOME MINOR FLOODING TO THE WATCH AREA...ESPECIALLY TO CREEKS AND SMALLER RIVERS. Well, to be fair, these prices are in line for the overall market of game-worn jerseys (for professional jerseys, generally). They just aren't in line for *our* market prices.by RichH - Hockey

Ohio State is Super-Freaky - 20 years ago
I can't believe this myself. Right out of Chappelle's Show. From After beating Michigan, the Buckeyes did something decidedly atypical. Rather than disappear into the quiet of the night, the dazed and happy Bucks returned to their hotel in Detroit's Renaissance Center and celebrated — briefly — with family and friends. They made straight for the hotel bar, where players of age sipped thby RichH - Hockey

LowellFrank Wrote: This style of catcher's mask has been around for a number of years. I believe the first catcher to wear one was Charlie O'Brien (of too many teams to list here). He was playing with Toronto (of course!) when the goalie-style mask made its debut. September 13, 1996. So the Final pits #7 vs. #9. Wasn't the "magic" seed in the old tournament format always #8? And this is why we just don't hand the team that finishes in first (or 2nd ) the Championship. Once again, the ECAC proves to be one damn competitive league.by RichH - Hockey

Note the rise in the name "Peyton" after 1995. Thankfully, the name "Nomah" isn't in the top-1000. Another interesting effect: My name, "Richard" was in the top-10 from 1922 until 1970. I expect it probably took a bigger nose-dive after 1973.by RichH - Hockey
