Re: World Junior Championships - 4 months ago
Trotsky Mosko logs 17 minutes on 28 shifts and is +1 as Slovakia beats the snot outta Norway and goes to 3-0, leading Group B. Next up is the New Year's Eve game with the US (2-0 pending outcome against the Czechs) which could well decide first in the group. US beat CZE in OT, so SVK leads the group, 9 pts to 8. Sunday's game will decide the group.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Might as well post this here. Guilday is playing in the USA-Canada game tonight in LA. She's getting a lot of love from the Canadian announcers on TSN. Jenner, Bourbonnais, and O'Neill playing for Team Canada. Final Score: USA 5 - Canada 2.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Trotsky I will come to a time in my backwards trip when November eleventh, accidentally my birthday, was a sacred day called Armistice Day. When I was a boy, and when Dwayne Hoover was a boy, all the people of all the nations which had fought in the First World War were silent during the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of Armistice Day, which was the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Re: Cornell Hockey Jerseys? - 6 months ago
George64 I pity the players that had to wear these jerseys during their Cornell careers. As I recall, they were designed by a Hum Ec class. The instructor should have been fired. For those too young to know, or too old to remember - that’s Bob Murray ‘74 and David Groulx ‘76. Oops, Bill Murray ‘74. I only suggested Discord on the other thread because we just got a Discord Server for birdwatching in Pennsylvania. The goal there was to consolidate all the text message WeChats and all the Facebook pages into a single place. We tend to use it much like this forum, that is to post messages with one or two responses rather than to live chat. However, I realized that it could be used for live cby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Re: Cornell football 2023 - 6 months ago
I caught the last 5 minutes of the game on TV. The Penn announcers actually had some good things to say about Cornell. Although they were actually more focused on the fact that the Penn running back actually had a chance to beat the school record for yards by a RB, unlikely as that would be if Penn got the ball back (since they'd take a knee rather than run the ball).by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Other Sports

jtwcornell91 Trotsky I gotta say, during the COVID MLB season I realized that, even as a purist who hates every innovation since batting helmets, I could get used to 7-inning games. 3-PA minimum.
