mike1960 nshapiro Penn and Princeton and both Duke and UNC this weekend. Does the ACC reciprocate next season with games in Philly and Princeton? Princeton up 5-4 in the second quarter. Now up 9-5 at the half; Ivy lax will be a dogfight.by Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

mike1960 I didn't see it but it sounds like a tough loss for a lot of reasons. I fully expect our guys to pick themselves up and recommit to great lacrosse. I'm looking at the stats and one that stands out is the ground balls: 42 for Denver and 26 for Cornell. I'm curious if that stood out to people watching the game. I'm not worried about this team scoring goals. I think our defense willby Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

ugarte Al DeFlorio blackwidow ugarte Earl starts an all-senior lineup including Darius Ervin, Evan Williams and Max Watson. Brown starts on a 7-0 run. I was about to type "nice, but come on this came is important" but Cornell responded with an 8-0 run of their own. As I type, Brown is up 12-8 but they've all been subbed out. Watson has a three. Erving and Williams are 0 for 3 shooting.by Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

mike1960 Swampy mike1960 upprdeck mike1960 Mr. Niss seems nuts to me that on Friday at 7 the U will have Toledo vs Bowling Green and not Cornell-Yale, but who am I other than a Big Red homer (but not from Homer). Looks like it's free on the regular ESPN feed. I see the normal espn+. I just checked: It's on ESPN and ESPN+ The lacrosse game, on the other hand. . . Not sure about lacrby Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

ugarte BearLover Swampy sah67 Jacob MacDonald was profiled by a San Jose fan site as a model for the future of "position-less hockey" due to his versatility in shifting back and forth between forward and defenseman, even during a single game. Lots of good quotes from his coach (David Quinn) on that role as well: The subsequent waiving of JMD aside, it seems to me that, against Yaleby Al DeFlorio - Hockey

ugarte Dartmouth built a lead that i think paddled at 11 but a 9-0 run and a hot finish has Cornell up 50-47 at the half. Down 29-42 with 4 minutes left in half. Dartmouth couldn't miss a three when building their lead.by Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

Cornell95 I am too lazy to go look it up, but my recollection was that Checo was a wing on the face off and that greatly helped his GB total. still an excellent match up. Could be. Somehow, groundballs picked up on faceoffs should be a different metric.by Al DeFlorio - Other Sports

Lehigh will likely cover Kirst with Richard Checo, who had 64 groundballs and 54 caused-turnovers last year as a freshman. Those are Adler-level numbers. Should be interesting to watch.by Al DeFlorio - Other Sports
