Re: RIT Cancels 2020-2021 Hockey Season - 3 years ago
One of the big issues moving forward with a CU season deals with the 10 person limit on groupings that the University has in place. Right now the team has groups of players doing on ice activities in separate areas of the rink and sometimes even having different time slots for on ice activities. They also have to use at least three different locket rooms. I don't see how you can have a seasonby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Luke Graboyes - PGA Tour - 3 years ago
Luke Graboyes Class '17 participated in this weeks PGA Tour event in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Shot an opening round -3 (68). Luke went to the 18th hole of his 2nd round needing a par on the par 3 ninth hole to make the cut. Unfortunately he bogeyed the hole and missed the cut by a stroke. Still a pretty good showing for the Cornell grad.by Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

Re: Cornell 2020-21 plans - 3 years ago
Does anyone really believe that they will be able to pull this off ? A little over two weeks out and they still have no official plan for how to move the kids onto campus and how to achieve quarantine requirements that align with NYS/CDC requirements.by Cop at Lynah - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Cornell 2020-21 plans - 3 years ago
I've been witness to 30+ years of college students behaviors, if the administration believes for one second that the signing of a behavioral contract will make a difference then they have lost their way. This is all about the money (or lack thereof). How expensive will it be if they "have" to shutdown again ? Cornell's arm doesn't reach out into C-Town as it relates to students non cby Cop at Lynah - John Spencer Is Dead

Would it be too much to ask to set aside a small space for a golf simulator to be set up. I can't remember which other Ivy has that but one has that available to be used by students/staff/facultyby Cop at Lynah - Other Sports

Whoever votes for these need to have their head examined. No way Mitchell and /or Malinski are not one of the top freshman. Galajda only gets third team, what a jokeby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

The games are going on this weekend, just with very limited fan attendance. I don't think anyone can predict just yet what the situation will be with Lake Placid or the NCAA tournamentby Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: Corona Virus And Playoff Games - 4 years ago
What would be the incentive league wise if attendance is restricted from here on out ? No ticket revenue or concession revenue with all the same expenditures. This really sucks for the team, I'm just glad it's Princeton and not Harvard or Clarkson that they are playing from fans perspective.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

The CCC just put out a release that says the Rap concert will go on as planned in Barton Hall on March 22nd. Concerts bring a large contingent of out of town folks to campus, so how serious is the administration ? I can't see them not allowing fans in Lynah and at the same time allow 4,000 people to a concert in Barton.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

2019-2020 a historical season - 4 years ago
I know that both the men and the women were highly regarded in the preseason polls, but what I've witnessed has been a historical season of hockey on the hill. The men & women overall are combined 50-3-7 in the regular season, 37-2-5 in ECAC play and 18-1-1 in Ivy League play. Also, both teams combined to go unbeaten at Lynah Rink in 2019-2020.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: 2020-02-29: Cornell 5 Clarkson 1 - 4 years ago
That's a very outdated version, it doesn't even have Galadja's freshman season shutout streak which was longer than the one that ended last night. From the 2019-2020 NCAA record book (http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/m_icehockey_rb/2020/D1.pdf) Ben Schrivens had a shutout streak of 267.11 in 2010 and Galadja had a shutout streak of 227.10 in 2018by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: Indoor Practice Facility - 4 years ago
As an inhabitant on the ground floor of Barton for 32 years , I'd be all for the replacement of Barton Hall. But Barton Hall isn't going anywhere in my lifetime. I'd venture to guess that Alumni Fields is probably the likeliest location for convenience (central location & utilities are already in place), but that would require that the University's green space language would need to beby Cop at Lynah - Other Sports
