Re: Dragon Day vs. ECACHL in Albany - 19 years ago
I've been through 17 of them and they have always been held on the Thursday before spring break starts, as most kids have tended to start their break on Friday.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Dragon Day vs. ECACHL in Albany - 19 years ago
The powers that be, have in their infinite wisdom, decided to hold Dragon Day on Friday, March 18 at 1:00 PM. This causes a direct conflict with those who had planned to attend the games at Albany. My hope is that the majority of students forgoe the parade and go to Albany, thus causing another Cornell tradition to go by the wayside and removing a mandatory duty day for the CUPD.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Number of penalties and how will it effect CU? - 19 years ago
A quick look at Friday's box scores revealed a high number of penalties called per game. I know it's early and they are probably trying to send the message, but there is no way these games can have any kind of flow to it with the number of penalties being called. I guess the early season will be all about special teams. Clarkson/Providence - 25 Minn-Duluth/Notre Dame - 25 North Dakota/Mainby Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: [OT] What Is the Rarest Single-Game Feat in Sports? - 19 years ago
Two switch hitters hitting home runs from both sides of the plate in the same game. I believe it has happened only once - Bernie Williams and Jorge Posada for the Yankees against the Blue Jays a couple of years ago.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

[OT] Slope Day 2004 - 20 years ago
To all those who were present at Slope Day thanks for making it one of the most succesful events in a long time. The weather was great, music was decent (Kayne West was 45 minutes late) and the crowd was unbelievable.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Murray summoned by San Jose - 20 years ago
I've been told that Doug Murray, who was in town for Slope Day, was summoned to San Jose by the Sharks. No details on whether this is a call up or for some other reason. Haven't been able to find anything on the transaction wires.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four shirts and caps at The Cornell Store - 21 years ago
I took a look at the stuff, and I was disappointed with the quality of the shirts. The logos/decals etc. are iron on and not screen printed. Very poor quality. I'm holding out for the better stuff in Buffalo. The hats are not too bad but a bit overpriced for the quality.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: NCAA TV - 21 years ago
The NCAA website lists Fox Sports Pittsburgh and Sunshine Network as two of the stations carrying the games. Fox Sports Pittsburgh is 428 on Dish Network and Sunshine is 422 (I think).by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
Re: CCM Cornell hockey cap? - 21 years ago
Earlier this season the hockey office was selling some baseball hats. They were not CCM (but the overall design looks very similiar). They came in two colors - black or red. I don't know if there are any left, but if interested call Sue Dettzer at the hockey office to find out.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey

Re: CC looks to be the team to beat! - 21 years ago
CC is a very good team. However, I was listening to a player interview and he made the comment about how much more comfortable the team was playing on the olympic size sheet as opposed to the NHL size sheet. Most (if not all) the NCAA regionals are on NHL size sheets, I think.by Cop at Lynah - Hockey
