Re: New indoor campus recreation & sports center - 2 years ago
billhoward Ken711 Again, I don't see this new facility accommodating room for many spectators, beside some standing sideline space. I'm just excited to see that it's finally progressing. It's going to be a big recruiting enhancement for coaches. "Big enhancement" isn't big enough. We want a freaking spectacular recruiting enhancement, something that gets New England's best soccer or lby CU2007 - Other Sports

Re: New indoor campus recreation & sports center - 2 years ago
billhoward An indoor stadium for game play needs to have a tall roof. The Dallas Cowboys stadium center screen hangs 90 feet above the field. I don't know what height is required to not affect 90% or 95% of long soccer kicks or long lacrosse clearing passes. In football, it's a do-ever in Dallas. But you could also have game-tracker cameras tell you where the ball would come down if it hadn't hidby CU2007 - Other Sports

It’s a weird thing with Shane. The numbers are great and stats don’t lie, but he just doesn’t make me as comfortable as some of those other goalies, even those with slightly worse numbers. Maybe it’s some sort of bias.by CU2007 - Hockey

BearLover (Here is a more in-depth post on our recruits.) We have some promising recruits in the pipeline. Disclaimer: Don’t quote me on their positions beyond F/D/G, as they are not always listed online consistently. ESPN+ doesn’t get you access to games carried on “cable espn” - espn, espn2, espn, espnews, and some of the collegiate conference networks. You can link your espn+ to your cable account and watch the “cable espn” on what I think is still called ESPN3.by CU2007 - Hockey

RichH Wow, Toxic Masculinity Coffee is about the worst ad I’ve seen on the espn addition era of ECAC games. I miss hearing about Arcy Holmes’ patellar tendon saga. I hope he’s doing ok in Watkins Glen. Great reference. I’m impressed he can get a ball off the rim with that build. Must have some upsby CU2007 - Hockey

adamw CU2007 Here’s something. Doesn’t the committee claim to use something similar to Pairwise but not the actual Pairwise? Is it possible if we beat a bunch of bad teams the rest of the way, coupled with others around us losing games here and there, and move up to say 7th or 8th in the polls but say a spot or two outside the Pairwise “cut off” that we get into the tourney? Re: Cornell @ Quinnipiac Fri 2/25/22 - 2 years ago
jtwcornell91 CU2007 Top 3 teams in the league all lost in regulation. Could be a wild ECAC tourney! Clarkson lost to Yale in OT, so they got a point. If I'm reading it right, that means they can still catch Q, since they're only 3 points back and hold the tiebreaker. Good catch, the app didn’t feel the need to specify that the game went to OT which is pretty imprtant these daysby CU2007 - Hockey
Re: Men's Basketball 21-22 - 2 years ago
upprdeck Cornell chances pretty simple now.. They beat Col Princ beats Harv twice this weekend yale beats Brown They split with everyone so as long as none of those teams beat one of the top 3, Cornell wins the Tiebreaker as we beat Princeton Are you forgetting we have a game with Yale before Colombia? upprdeck Its more hard to find a way for Cornell to make it close to top 15 and have a shot at the NCAA short of winning the ECAC. Yes, seems likely that ship has indeed sailed.by CU2007 - Hockey
Re: 2022 ECAC Permutations - 2 years ago
nshapiro CU2007 Something to consider. With Qpac about to win tonight, they could lock up the #1 seed on Friday against us. Presumably they could then choose to rest some guys who are “playing hurt” on Saturday vs Colgate with their seed (and spot in the Pairwise) assured. This would not be good news for us. Q is currently 7 in pairwise. Are you saying that they already are locked in to a #2 seeby CU2007 - Hockey
