Denver weekend - Jan 4/5 - 11 years ago
Hope to see many other Faithful in Denver for the games on Jan 4 and 5. There are many inexpensive, direct flights from NYC airports. These will be a pair of important games for the Red. Recommendations for meeting spots before/after the games, and other things to do in Denver would be appreciated!by CAS - Hockey

Re: New recruit - 11 years ago
In looking at the prelim scouting list, only Michigan and North Dakota had as many as 3 recruits rated B or higher. Can't wait to see all our recruits on Lynah ice. Thank you Schafer. Drop the puck!by CAS - Hockey

Re: Football @ Fordham - 11 years ago
Fordham has already played two games this season, including a 28-13 loss last night to a good Villanova team. Fordham now grants athletic scholarships for football, so this will be a big test for the Big Red.by CAS - Other Sports

Re: Pannell eligibility approved - 11 years ago
I agree with Robb above. Pannell is to be commended. In an era when athletes leave college early to play professionally, Rob is choosing to stay at Cornell, where he'll be taking additional courses as well as playing lacrosse. I'm looking forward to watching #3 this spring.by CAS - Other Sports

Re: Generic Off Season Thread - 12 years ago
Remember the Barclay and Pru Centers each have only 1 tenant next year. Izod has zero. You think an ECAC tourney in the NY metro area, with Cornell involved, will draw fewer than 5-6K? If fewer than half the Cornell fans for Red Hot Hockey attend, and none from the other 3 schools, attendance would be higher. The games should be played where the fans are!by CAS - Hockey
Re: Generic Off Season Thread - 12 years ago
All true Beeeej, but think of how many alums of the ECAC schools live/work in the area and wouldn't need to travel at all. If Cornell can bring 12K fans to MSG, how many would attend an ECAC tourney game which is played in/near NYC?by CAS - Hockey
Re: Generic Off Season Thread - 12 years ago
To maximize attendance, why not bring ECAC tourney to NYC metro area - Barclay's, Izod, or Pru Center?by CAS - Hockey

Re: Save the Palms! - 12 years ago
So is there any one out there with a little extra cash to top the existing deal, and save our beloved Palms? Would need to sell a lot of PBR to earn a reasonable return on the investment, but that's not the goal!by CAS - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: Save the Palms! - 12 years ago
In the late '70's, the Palms was a rare place in Collegetown which attracted both students and some townies. Had quite a streak going there in my senior year. Looks pretty much the same today as it did over 30 years ago. It needs to be saved. Maybe Elynah can start a fundraising campaign...by CAS - John Spencer Is Dead
