Re: Wrestling 2023-24 - 4 months ago
ugarte Big news in that starting next year, the Ivy League is splitting from the EIWA as a standalone conference, with its own AQ for the conference champ. Kind of a bummer, imo, because the 17-team tournament is a lot more fun than a six-team tournament will be. Not only that, we lose our rivalry with Lehigh and create two conferences where one school is historically dramatically stronger than tby George64 - Other Sports

Ken711 Want a logical replacement for Archer. Look no further that U. of Penn's Offensive Coordinator Dan Swanstrom. He was went 32-11 (.744) and his teams registered eight wins in all four seasons in which they took led Ithaca College as their head coach. Not exactly Cornell in the Movies, but this morning I heard a song by the Chapin Brothers, Blood Water, that explicitly mentions Cornell. In the Spring of 1964, at Cornell University a young girl fell 98 feet to her death in one of the gorges adjoining the campus It is the custom at Spring Weekend For the faternities to dye the gorges a color And that year it happened to be red. BearLoverI am also sympathetic to the argument that Archer’s replacement, unless he is a Cornell alum or otherwise has strong ties to Ithaca, will immediately jump to a better program if he finds success at Cornell. Regarding the new hire immediately jumping to a better program, he should take a look at alumnus Jim Hofher’s career after leaving Cornell to become QB coach at North Carolina.
