Re: Cornell Game Jerseys - 14 years ago
I'm just curious who you are now since you know which jersey I have. Even if Topher didn't wear it, it was certainly game worn - it has all the repair stitching on it.by munchkin - Hockey
Re: Cornell Game Jerseys - 14 years ago
statenaurora Has anybody had any luck at the Athletic Department Garage Sale? What do they have in terms of hockey gear and number of items? I got a Topher Scott game jersey at the 2009 Athletic Department Garage Sale and my best friend got a Sawada jersey. Granted since I was a student who worked for Athletics I was able to get in an hour early, but my friend went after I called her and she wby munchkin - Hockey
Re: Polls 12/14 - 14 years ago
How serious do you think I'm being? Because it's not very... this is a distraction for me while in the midst of grad school finals. These polls don't mean much, especially several months away from championship time. It's the PWR where Cornell is tied for 16th that makes a bigger difference when trying to analyze where teams lie in relationship to each other. I'm more mocking the writers for tby munchkin - Hockey

Re: Frozen Four Seats - 14 years ago
KeithK Can you imagine sitting in section 315 though? Ugh. That's not worry. When they realized there wasn't a demand for 70,000 seats, more than half got eliminated by moving the rink to the endzone.by munchkin - Hockey
Re: Two Sport Athlete - 14 years ago
Al DeFlorio jkahn Perhaps Cornell's most prominent two sport athlete in the last 50 years is Bruce Arena, a lacrosse middie and soccer goalie who excelled at both on a national level. Most recent star two-sport athlete is probably Jeomi Maduka, several-time All-American in track and Ivy basketball player of the year. She didn't play Basketball her senior year to completely focus on track. Here'sby munchkin - Hockey

I really hope we don't have to endure Sasquatch, he's old and waaaaay past his prime for shirtless antics. At least the Class of '09 pregame has an open bar so hopefully those of us who attend that one will have beer goggles should Sasquatch appear.by munchkin - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros - November 2009 - 14 years ago
Robb munchkin Moulson was one of the 3 Stars of the Day from the Puck Daddy Blog. And with 3,000+ subscribers that's a lot of people seeing his name as the #1 star of the day. Don't knock it. That's like 38% of the national NHL audience, I think. I wasn't knocking it. For a hockey blog, that's a big subscriber number.by munchkin - Hockey

Re: MSG Pre-Game - 14 years ago
I'm a BU grad student right now (yeah, I know, but Edu Public Policy is not a common program) and there has been little to no publicity on campus for the event. At hockey games, there's maybe one announcement on the video screen before the puck drops. As well, I know several alums who went to the '07 game are electing to stay in Boston this year, and these were the equivalent of Section B fansby munchkin - Hockey
Re: Yale/Brown Roll Call - 14 years ago
I'll be at Brown wearing my #26 Topher game worn jersey... I love the Athletic Department garage sale each year. It'll be me ('09) and several from '07 in our car from Boston.by munchkin - Hockey
Re: polls 2009-11-09 - 14 years ago
We have played far fewer games that the non-Ivy teams and thus the PWR (although worthless right now) ranking will suffer because of it.by munchkin - Hockey

Following this weekend's games, and I'm thinking Harvard in particular, Cornell is now ranked #3 overall. Still hunting for that first place vote though.by munchkin - Hockey

Re: Dave is driving - 14 years ago
Does anyone know if he'll be driving all season? I won't be back on campus until January for the NoDak games, and I really want him to be there. It wouldn't be Cornell hockey without him. Who else will wear tails and a top hat on senior night?by munchkin - Hockey

Re: Updates - 14 years ago
Last year I had three sets of numbers. I wanted to guarantee a good placement in Section B. This year I would've only needed one number for Block 1. Definitely played the numbers game in the past spreading out the possible placements of the start so that I'd never be more than 200th picking.by munchkin - Hockey

Re: Student Season Ticket Information - 14 years ago
DeltaOne81So the whole process is basically on a 10 year rotation? Which puts us 5 years from the next stampede, right? I did well in the stampede as a freshman: #123. Got me into section B, where I didn't get to again until senior year with pick #51 (line number was #1 both for senior and overall undergrads). I had fun being 800 numbers ahead of my then boyfriend who was trying to convince meby munchkin - Hockey
