RichSConsider the consistently nasty and belligerent tone of most of Al's posts directed at me. Doesn't HIS belligerence elicit the same in return? Rich, you are in our house and one of the reasons we like Al a lot is because he is a significant contributor to our house. So no, it's not a two way street. Is it so hard to leave the shoes at the door? You just prove how sweet this place is byby atb9 - Hockey
Re: Wayne Gretzky's wife and about a half-dozen NHL players placed bets -- but not on hockey -- with a nationwide sports gambling ring financed by Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Rick Tocchet - 18 years ago
Rumors are that Janet Jones (aka Janet Jones Gretzky, Janet Gretzky, Janet Marie Jones, Janet-Marie Jones, Janet Jones-Gretzky ) placed $500,000 worth of bets over 39 days. That is amazing considering the total handle of the ring was $1.7 million. It is also being reported that Wayne Gretzky was wire tapped. This is going to get really ugly for the NHL. exposcohenKiper has him going late 1st round early 2nd round. He is the best I-AA prospect, but mainly he is the best lineman prospect for all of D-I! I just read this...and unfortunately you are wrong. Here's his rankings post Senior Bowl (Feb. 1) and I've never seen Kiper rank Boothe higher than 3rd on the Guard list. Re: Capitol Region Seating - 18 years ago
ebilmesPeople who have been there in the past, how many Cornell fans usually make the trip? You know the band will be there. The Cornell allotment will be sold out (I think that's 200) and there will be others sitting throughout the other sections of both rinks. So, more than what was at Colgate. It's not like Harvard however. I'd guess 400 at Union. Maybe a little more at RPI but not as mby atb9 - Hockey

Re: Capitol Region Seating - 18 years ago
BTW, I just called the Cornell ticket office and they still have tickets available for the games. Orders are taken over the phone by calling 607-254-BEAR or by visiting the ticket office, which is located in Bartels Hall on Campus Road. The ticket office is open Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.by atb9 - Hockey
Re: Capitol Region Seating - 18 years ago
cth95Anyone going to the RPI or Union games? I am probably going to go to RPI with a couple of friends and was wondering where the best seats would be for visiting fans. I found a 2002 thread that said we used to be in Section 1 behind a goal. Any concentrations of visitors along the sides? I will be at both games showing love for the ghettos that are known as Troy and Schenectady and I planby atb9 - Hockey

Re: THIS HAS GOT TO BE ADDED TO OUR STAPLE CHEERS - 18 years ago
ftyuvatb9and thus we don't play them in all of our other sports. Given a choice between Colgate or Princeton, I'd take 'Gate over 'Ton any day. Good example. Go to a lacrosse game. You'll hate Princeton pretty quickly. But yeah, I dislike Colgate more just because I've had more interaction with obnoxious fans from Colgate.by atb9 - Hockey
Re: THIS HAS GOT TO BE ADDED TO OUR STAPLE CHEERS - 18 years ago
ftyuvI think if Harvard weren't Hahvahd, I might even list Colgate as the higher of the two. Now that's going too far. Sure, they are a regional rival. But Colgate isn't in the Ivy league (even though they sometimes think they are) and thus we don't play them in all of our other sports.by atb9 - Hockey
Re: THIS HAS GOT TO BE ADDED TO OUR STAPLE CHEERS - 18 years ago

Re: colgate video status - 18 years ago
mikee293Does anyone know if the game will come in on Cornell cable? I know it comes in on the local Ithaca town cable, but I don't know anyone who has that. Also, will Cornell be showing the game somewhere, like at RPCC or something? Basically I would like to know how I can watch the game without having to fork over money for CSTV. Re: Quality of wrestling webcast - 18 years ago
Al DeFlorioToday's wrestling webcast vs. Columbia was essentially perfect. No choppiness at all. No rebuffering at all. No missed audio at all. And replays. A complete contrast with what we've been getting from Lynah. I really wish someone would explain to us why the hockey video webcasts are so consistently awful in terms of quality. DisplacedCornellianhttp://allaccess.cstv.com/media/school_epg.jsp?sid=700 looking there is where i get hope that the game will be webcasted. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part, but since ESPN bought CSTV (right?), i thought maybe they were throwing us a bone. ESPN is buying the feed from Time Warner, I thought, so CSTV could be doing the same for the webcast.by atb9 - Hockey
Re: The RED-OUT crowd and "it's all your fault" cheer. - 18 years ago
mikee293but one thing that bothers me is the "it's all your fault" cheer after an Empty Netter. I know you could say that if the goalie has to come out in the first place, then that IS his fault.....but still, an empty net goal is still in fact a goal against....an empty net. Oh well I always pointed at the opposing coach during that one.by atb9 - Hockey

Question AskerIs there any way to purchase tickets for tonight's game @ Colgate? I'm desperately in need of a pair. Thanks. I'll take this one.
