Re: Thanks from the Cornell Club of Boston - 21 years ago
Thank you Tom and others! I made the trek up from NYC for the game and really enjoyed the pregame festivities (I missed the post game in lieu of singing the alma mater at John Hah-vahd's). Especially having the band come in and play for us! It was also funny seeing some familiar names from right here on the messageboard. I didn't get there in time to get a name tag (I was the guy in the whiteby bigggreddd77 - Hockey

Just out of curiosity Nate...why those 2 years? Were they the only years that there were hockey cards? Any player(s) in particular that you're looking for?by bigggreddd77 - Hockey

Jerseys...Hockey ones...Might be authentic...might not be... - 21 years ago
Sorry...After seeing the 'Hockey Jerseys' topic closely followed by the 'Knockoff Jerseys topic, I just couldn't resist seeing how many similar topics we could get up here... And this is done in a little fun prodding tone...not complaining... So please don't respond telling me that I can choose what topics I click on...by bigggreddd77 - Hockey

Albany Ticket Time? - 21 years ago
OK...IF IF IF IF we make it... Have people here started getting their tickets to the ECAC Championships in Albany yet? If so, what sections in the arena would you recommend that we sit in? Or are people planning on waiting until we qualify with a seeding and know where the Cornell section will be? Harvard Roll Call (2/15) - 21 years ago
Not that we can by any means look past our next 3 games, especially after last night against 'Gate... (groan...#@%$!%!) Buuuuut...I haven't gotten to a Cornell hockey game all year and I'm getting REALLY pumped for going to the Harvard game at Bright on 2/15. I was wondering who is going to be there and in what sections? I'm in Section 9, Row F, seats 1 and 2 Are there any Cornell spby bigggreddd77 - Hockey

"In a moment of brilliance, David LeNeveu trades in his butterfly goaltending style for the never before seen superconducter style" When asked about his new technique after the game, LeNeveu said, "My freshman year roommate was an engineer, so I learned a thing or two from him. Re: Synergy - 21 years ago
So are all of you guys going to look down upon me when I show up at Bright in my white Red Wings knockoff? I even managed to get them to authentically put on good old number 99...my favorite player... Also...out of curiosity...did the Cornell away jersey ever have a white ring around the neck like the Koronis version does? I never remembered it, and I checked Age's current away game piby bigggreddd77 - Hockey

Re: Chartrand - 21 years ago
Kudos to Chartrand...its been great seeing him have success on the big stage... Agreeeed about the midget though...my friend, another Cornellian, picked up St. Louis off of waivers early in the season in our fantasy hockey league and I now call him Benedict...by bigggreddd77 - Hockey

The Championship Belt - 21 years ago
Here's to Cornell dropping the 'lynah faithful elbow' on Maine and winning the championship belt on 12/28! Has Cornell had the belt since people started following it? Does anyone know what the website is that lists the full 'history'? I just got my info from a thread on USCHO.by bigggreddd77 - Hockey

NCAA Tourney - 21 years ago
OK...don't hurt me for posting this topic so early in the season. I just knocked on wood, crossed my fingers, and did whatever other voo doo I could do to keep the bad vibes away... ::voodoo:: (hmm...I bet that won't work ...Age...any chance of a voodoo face?) But I noticed that the format of the NCAA Tournament has changed this year. Now that there are two different locations for the East anby bigggreddd77 - Hockey

Re: Dustin Brown - 21 years ago
OK...so...I see that Dustin Brown plays in the OHL for Guelph. What is the progression that a hockey player in his position takes? Do they stay on that team until the NHL? Do they opt for college? Do they go to a different professional league? In other words...does Dustin Brown have any chance of ever playing for the Big Red?by bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Lines? - 21 years ago
I was just reading some stuff on USCHO and there was a debate on what the best lines were. I was wondering how our lines were organized? I haven't been able to see/listen to a game so if you could fill me in I'd appreciate it.by bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Congrats Age...USCHO front page - 21 years ago
Maybe I've missed other pictures of Age's on the USCHO website so this may just be old news. But, when looking at the home page I couldn't help but notice the 'elynah.com' credit below the picture of the Dartmouth goalie. Do you have a contract with them? Did they just find your picture and decide to use it? Anywaaay...it was pretty cool to see...congrats on making it to the big time. This wby bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Cowbell - 21 years ago
Actually...I can talk to my good friend (and brother) Jamie Weber who did it before Age...buuuuuttt... As far as the cowbell is concerned... The cowbell was actually done and inherited within the brotherhood of AEPi for a number of years during the 90's and it was supposed to stay within the fraternity. Upon graduation, Jamie had passed the bell down to another junior member of the fraternityby bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Re: forgotten cheer - 21 years ago
OK...again...as most of us realize, the point of the waving of the hands is clearly to distract the OPPOSING GOALTENDER. Back in my section B days, we always did it. Also...even if people are saying that they are trying to distract the opposing player taking the faceoff...if our goaltender is in net, you're going to be trying to distract OUR center...not theirs... And...at least in warmups...yby bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Re: Screw BU sign - 21 years ago
OK...now...Mike...I completely appreciate your enthusiasm for all of this....signs...T-shirts...and the like. We all know that all of the other teams (especially Hah-vahd and BU) suck...and we're the best... Maybe you should write a letter to BU asking them if you can hang the sheet behind their bench.... Re: [OT] Huh? - 21 years ago
So what other games were being played that weekend of the Cornell/Penn game? I do agree that the Harvard/Yale game regardless of its title implications probably would seemingly have made a better showing for the Ivy League on GameDay than this game. I may be wrong, but take a look at the schedules for the Top 25 teams this week...there really aren't that many huge matchups that would necessitatby bigggreddd77 - Hockey
Re: No More HockeyCam - 21 years ago
I guess amongst all of this I'm a bit confused. Age, where do you work that they could put the cable on your chair? Was there a note with it or anything? I mean...no doubt you were somewhat inflamatory on this site...what started all of the animosity? If this is the manner it was done...with no other communication...thats terrible...
