Re: Cornell @ Boston University, Jan. 14, 2023 - GAME TIME IS 4PM - 1 year ago
One of the better two-way BU teams I've seen. They have skill and speed but are now a bit more aggressive on the puck carrier than some of the teams in previous years. Not surprising considering who their current head coach is and the kind of NHL player he was. That said, Cornell is keeping good possession around the BU net and it led to the first goal. Bancroft would've made it 2-0 shortly afby Iceberg - Hockey

I suppose because of rule that those students can't stay in the dorms, because I imagine the administration will need to have RA's present and then pay for maintenance staff labor. Except for Clarkson, who tied an opponent with lower PWR, every ECAC team playing a OOC game won tonight. Also, Q pounds Harvard so I don't think there's much question as to who will be #1 in the conference at the end of February.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. RPI 1/7/23 - 1 year ago
scoop85 Donaldson on the wrap around to give us a 6-3 cushion. RPI’s defense is awful. Between them and Union some of the worst I've seen this year. Almost half the teams in the league seem to be plagued with defensive issues, so it'll be interesting to see how the team matches up next weekend against a BU team that should have more sound bluelinersby Iceberg - Hockey

The Rancor The drinking age should return to 18. It's crazy that it is 21 in this country. Yeah, it would certainly eliminate much of the "mystique" around drinking that doesn't exist in many other countries where the age is 18 or 19. This soft prohibition encourages many 17-20 year olds to overindulge in secret, less safe environments during their college years and I've never reallyby Iceberg - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: Opponents and Others, 2022-23 - 1 year ago
I think a RPI player just got ejected for grabbing the face mask of a Princeton guy during a post-whistle scrum that was only noticed upon a Princeton challenge. And shortly afterwards Princeton scores within 20 seconds of the major power play to make it 5-2. I can't think of last time I've seen that kind of penalty calledby Iceberg - Hockey

Re: Harvard @ Cornell, 12/2/2022 - 1 year ago
JohnF81 Grady and Tim pointed out that Harvard was playing two lines in the second half of the game. If all their raw talent is so great, why is it riding the bench? Bingo. Their bottom two lines and most of their D are nothing to write home about. They've given up 15 goals in their past four games, after all. Cornell did play well in the 2nd and that wasn't a coincidence. I expect it to be coby Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Dartmouth @ Cornell, 12/3/2022 - 1 year ago
That was not the prettiest game and it could've easily went to overtime, but thankfully...it didn't. Re: Harvard @ Cornell, 12/2/2022 - 1 year ago
BearLover Cornell played pretty well against one of the most talented teams in the country. The first period was even. In the second, Cornell found an answer for Harvard’s offense and neutral zone trap. But Harvard’s late second period goal seemed to take some life out of Cornell and the crowd. After that, Harvard’s skill took over and Cornell was a step behind the entire third period. In OT, Corby Iceberg - Hockey
