Buy and sell tickets for Cornell hockey games
Re: Manderville to waddle - 22 years ago
Let's see. Playing. For Nedved that would constitute skating slow circles near the bench, right?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Frozen Four Tickets - 22 years ago
Don't worry. It's easy to get FF tix. I actually had to lose money just to unload mine from last year. When teams start dropping out, they'll become quite easy to get for face value from ebay, USCHO, etc. Let's worry about getting there first.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Manderville to waddle - 22 years ago
Do the Rangers have any centers left? sheeshby CowbellGuy - Hockey

Gee, that's a big help for everyone the ticket office firmly booted in the direction of TicketShafter yesterdayby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: NCAA seeding consequences of a win over Hahvahd - 22 years ago
And of course the biggest travesty that comes out of this is that Eastern teams are going to have only one chance (in the NCAA championship game) to wrestle the champ belt back from the West.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. Maine - 22 years ago
Case in point: Hockey East teams turn into fire-hardened steel during the 2nd half of the season after they have time to mesh and play other Hockey East teams. Harvard (and presumably Cornell) will learn the true Nature of the Force soon. They are pampered and protected fans of pampered and protected players in a pampered and protected (for the all important 2nd half of the season) conferenceby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: 2001-02 team's place in history - 22 years ago
ROFLMAO. Really almost laughed my butt off the chair. Well, if they win the next 9 ECAC championships that won't be a problem at allby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. Maine - 22 years ago
My point wasn't that RPI beat UNH so therefore we would beat UNH. My point was that if they could lose to RPI, they can be beaten. If I hear someone use the words play, paper, and ice in a sentence again I'm going to go postal. So I was avoiding it.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. Maine - 22 years ago
UNH lost to RPI. 'nuff said. Cornell's more than capable of smothering irritating little HE players. Maine's on a big roll and they'll probably mop up with Harvard. Cornell-UNH (should Cornell win Sat) should be a good, close game.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: The actual GAME against Harvard - 22 years ago
Sorry, it's just that I pride myself on my servers' stability and if the server crashes, it's potentially my fault. If the power goes out, it's Cornell's and I can't really do anything about that. I suppose possibility 3 would be my fault, too, if I don't set the underpants gnome traps right.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. Maine - 22 years ago
Anyone who can't conceive rooting for Harvard should spend about 5 minutes on the USCHO Forum and I guarantee you'll find a way to just go pro-ECAC.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: eLF has a new address! - 22 years ago
Doh! I knew there was one I was forgetting. Thanks.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
eLF has a new address! - 22 years ago
In the interest of mass confusion and shorter URL's, the eLF's new address is elf.hockey.cornell.edu. Your unread messages will be incorrect if you are logged in and start using the new address, so just log out and back in and it should be fine. If you find anything broken, please drop me an e-mail or post here. Thanks.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: NCAA Games on TV? - 22 years ago
The game's at 3:30 pm. Should be broadcast live.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: The actual GAME against Harvard - 22 years ago
Let me preface this by saying that the officials did not cost Cornell the game. I'm not trying to pin it on them. HOWEVER, Hansen was atrocious. It's not for the ref to decide that only intent to injure should be called in important games. The rules are there to be enforced and they're there to make the game better, cleaner, and fairer, and he should have done his job. And if he was purportedly oby CowbellGuy - Hockey

Hey, hey, hey. The server didn't crash. The power went out.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Lake Placid TV Broadcast - 22 years ago
Most decent VCRs will record LP and all will play back. Since you need to add an additional head to record, most lower end models don't offer it. And since EP/SLP is so crappy, I'd never buy a VCR without LP recording. But that's all moot with a 181-hour TiVoby CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Another pledge drive - 22 years ago
*snort* I wish it were just a grand... Just a note about USCHO, they are still losing money and it is mostly run as a labor of love by a dedicated handful of good people (plus Jason Moy (j/k)). Hopefully their pledge drive is going well, but it is not a foregone conclusion that they'll just be around in perpetuity.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Something to be said for UPSes - 22 years ago
Apparently there was a power outage at the server on Saturday night (impeccable timing) and there was some database corruption, but it should be all good now. Sorry.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Signs of the apocalypse - 22 years ago
If I said "it's quite clear" then a sensible person would assume I wasn't just talking out of my ass like you and would take my word for it, or Coach Schafer's, as he came to the same conclusion, but I suppose you're not a sensible person.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Pre-game speech - 22 years ago
Why, cause it might rub off and bring the hockey team some luck?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Schafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Meaning the video of the game, as in the physical VHS tape of the whole game that I could smack you in the head with if you were in front of me. I said there was a reason Palahicky went nuts, not necessarily that it was warranted.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
Re: Schafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
Actually, the video shows it quite clearly. I don't remember if that's included in the QT clip, but that's irrelevant (just as your blathering opinions have become). It happened. Oh, poor Poapsty. He had a bad year, so it's ok for him to be a jackass on the ice. I'm not the only one who thinks it. Hell, even Grady said he was a dirty player. For the love of god, shut the hell up, Rich.by CowbellGuy - Hockey

Re: Shafer Strategy? - 22 years ago
It's quite clear why Palahicky lost it actually. He got slashed across the hands by Poapst. Sure, Shane threw the first punch, but it was in reaction to a cheap shot from the master dirtbag himself.by CowbellGuy - Hockey
US Hockey Ass't Captains? - 22 years ago
OK. I must be retarded or something, but I can't remember or figure out who the assistant captains of the US hockey team at Salt Lake were. Anyone?by CowbellGuy - Hockey
