ugarte cbuckser cbuckser flyersgolf Lets hope Gavin Stoick can get Seth Jones from that hockey hotbed of Plano, Texas to take a look at Cornell Don't hold your breath. As college hockey fans, we'd be lucky if Seth Jones takes a single ncaa hockey shift. To follow up, the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) will announce its signing of Jones at 5 pm EDT today. I expect he'll play only one year in the WHL.by pfibiger - Hockey

1. Minnesota 2. Boston College 3. North Dakota 4. Notre Dame 5. Cornell The Big Red came within a game of the Frozen Four last year and lose just two forwards off the team. Three of their top six forwards were Freshmen, including Brian Ferlin who missed time with a shoulder injury. Also returning is goalie Andy Iles, who had a .919 save percentage and should have been Jack Campbell’s bacby pfibiger - Hockey

Two articles on Mitch Gillam: "It is real exciting," explains Gillam. "They're one of the teams that I have always looked forward to going to play for." Gillam remembers going to watch his older brother Josh's team, Dartmouth University, face-off against Cornell. Gillam claims that the Big Red have the best fans in NCAA hockey. ECAC Finals Streaming - 12 years ago
So I wasn't sure that it fit in either the "America One worse than Red Cast" thread or the "ECACs not on TV" thread but I'll stick it here. In the USCHO thread about the ECACs not being on TV, RHamilton, who appears to be the manager of RPI TV, said this: RHamilton on USCHO We're trying to prod America One into streaming at as high of a quality as possible, but they're notby pfibiger - Hockey
Re: ECAC Finals Weekend not on TV - 12 years ago
adamw flyersgolfI think you could tell from his quote: “One of the reasons we went was that is gave us a great guarantee to be on T.V...” This is a complete misquote ... IF you are quoting this from an article somewhere, then that article is misquoting Schafer. He never said they picked Atlantic City to get a "great guarantee to be on TV" .... You, or someone, added "to be on Tby pfibiger - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Clarkson (pregame) - 12 years ago
cbuckser Clarkson's line sheet has been distributed. Per Brandon Thomas, Cornell's lines are: Lowry-Collins-McCarron Mowrey-Miller-Ferlin Dias-Bardreau-Jillson de Swardt-Axell-Mihalek D'Agostino-Ryan Birch-Whitney Gotovets-Ross This team really misses Esposito, I hope he's ok for SLU.by pfibiger - Hockey
Re: Cornell Hockey In My Debut Novel - 12 years ago
Beeeej pfibiger Is there any chance it's just on a second page of your home screen or something? Or perhaps it has weird metadata that shows it by a different name than just the filename? Even if it were a corrupt file, with the .mobi extension it should show up in the document list. All kindles from the first have been able to read unprotected .mobi files. I checked all three pages of my homeby pfibiger - Hockey
Re: Cornell Hockey In My Debut Novel - 12 years ago
So my kindle is full of .mobi files, it shouldn't be an issue. AZW is the amazon DRM-enabled mobipocket format, MBP is the metadata for the book (highlights, bookmarks, etc). Beeeej RinkRatInExile When you buy from TheWriteDeal, you enter an e-mail and password to log in. After you buy the book, log in, go to "My Bookshelf." The book should be there for download. Yes, but it's there for download to my computer. I need to know how to download it to my e-reader. Anybody is welcome to chime in here - I know it's a stupid question and I'll feel even stupidby pfibiger - Hockey
Re: Cornell_RPI pregame - 12 years ago
Trotsky Haven't plowed through it all, yet. Is Espo back? Also, what's with the supposed Schafer-Appert beef in the NBC article? If it does exist and I had to guess, I'd say it probably stems from that game last year where RPI fans and Appert whined incessantly about the officiating and a hockey "reporter" got into a shouting match with Paul Stewart and then railed against him inby pfibiger - Hockey
Re: New Recruit - Christian Hilbrich - 12 years ago
Christian's older brother Tom, a defenseman, just committed to Quinnipiac. He's 6'7", 228 lbs. Their parents must be _tiny_.by pfibiger - Hockey
New Recruit - Christian Hilbrich - 12 years ago
A former teammate of Brian Ferlin with the Indiana Ice, Christian Hilbrich committed for next year. He's 6'6" and 208lbs. The USHL article points out that this year we have the largest number of USHL alums of any team in the conference. Quite a change from 6-7 years ago when the BCHL dominated our recruiting.by pfibiger - Hockey

Re: New recruit - 12 years ago
Buckles is a highly regarded '95 from the Toronto area. Also, Cornell got a commitment from Gavin Stoick, 6'3", 215lb USNTDP defenseman from Oregon. He was recruited by BU, Michigan, Yale, Harvard and Cornell. Extremely excited to announce my commitment to Cornell for 2012!! #GoBigRed @CornellSports— Gavin Stoick (@GavinStoick) November 22, 2011by pfibiger - Hockey

Re: Who's staying, who's going? - 12 years ago
CowbellGuy What Beeeej said. As for staying/going, I think if Edmonton knows what's best for Riley's development he'll be gone next year. I suspect Greening will be here for all four years. Having said that, and I've said it before, I think Greening will be in the NHL before Riley. css228 pfibiger Trotsky Philippe Hudon was the only (I think) guy not to dress for either exhibition game. Any word on whether he is injured? Re: INCH Recruiting Rankings - 12 years ago
Trotsky Joakim Ryan didn't go in the draft. Was he too young? Nope. He was ranked behind Hudon and Miller (a future recruit who also wasn't drafted) and ahead of Ferlin, Dias and Bardreau (Lowry wasn't ranked) in the CSS Mid-Term rankings: I believe it was his first draft year, so he could very likely get drafted next year.by pfibiger - Hockey
Re: Kris Mayotte - volunteer assistant coach for men's hockey - 12 years ago
sah67 Athletics announced today that former Union goalie, Kris Mayotte, has joined the team as a volunteer assistant coach. Mayotte's primary duties will be as a goal-tending coach to Iles, Marrozzi, and Kanji. I think Craig Buckser was the one who pointed this out, but it has seemed historically like our goaltending has been better/more consistent when we've had a volunteer assistant who wby pfibiger - Hockey
