Quinnipiac-Princeton Roll Call - 16 years ago
I'll be at Quinnipiac +1, not sure about Princeton. I started this early to give people a heads up about tickets for the Quinnipiac game. I just purchased them over the phone and they only have standing room left. I'd guess the Cornell ticket office still has tickets remaining, but I'm thinking the game will likely sell out.by redhair34 - Hockey

jtwcornell91 I wonder to what extent people wish college hockey had more fights, in the same way some wish we had shootouts. FWIW, unlike a lot of college hockey fans I'd like to see more fighting in college. But, it's not going to happen so it's pretty much a non-issue. NOOOOO shootouts!by redhair34 - Hockey
Re: TSN Ranks Riley Nash #33 for the upcoming draft - 16 years ago
nr53http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/10192/oilers_ncaa_prospects_update/ The player development coach for the Oilers has some pretty nice (worrisome?) words about Riley's progress so far this year. It might be a good sign that he mentions that Riley has to get bigger, which he can certainly do at Cornell so maybe they'll let us have him for another year... I'd be surprised if he stays aby redhair34 - Hockey

Re: Cornell at Clarkson, pre-game - 16 years ago
amerks127Anyone care to speculate who will get the start in goal tonight? Will Schafer give Scrivens another chance against Tech? I didn't see the Flordia game, but the one at Lynah looked like the 3 goals against in the first period were as much a result of Scrivens play as the team's overall poor performance. Uhhh I can't imagine he'd go with Davenport unless Scrivens is injured/sick.by redhair34 - Hockey

oceanst41 I didn't even have a place to stay when I went (should've know there weren't enough hotels in Potsdam to satisfy the faithful) For those in a similar situation, I'd recommend looking in Odgensburg or Massena (I've stayed at hotels/motels in both towns after the Friday night game), especially if you plan on going to Ottawa during the day on Saturday. Both choices are probably bettby redhair34 - Hockey

Jim HylaRitaAbout halfway through the 3rd and Cornell. Mugford gets a "hitting after the whistle" penalty. Sounds like it Mugford couldn't hold-up in that the play was at the blue line and called offside. Actually it was just a dumb penalty, much like he had last night when 'gate scored. Hard to say he needs to turn down his intensity, but playing smarter would help. Tonight--yeby redhair34 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - February 2008 - 16 years ago
French RageYeah he left with 7 minutes left in the second and then came back with 6 and then left again with 5 left. He seemed to be favoring his right leg. But the fight right and the start was awesome and we still got to see him after the game, so all went awesome. What did he have to say?by redhair34 - Hockey

mhand06is there a bus that goes to the clarkson game? Is there tickets? how much does it cost? No bus, there are tickets (check with Cornell Ticket Office early in the week if you want to sit in the Cornell section), probably like 8-12 bucks--not too bad. Stick around for Saturday and you'll get to watch the game in an awesome barn.by redhair34 - Hockey

TrotskybillhowardWe worked harder for 4 points this weekend than 3 at home last week.Honestly, I think that was the hardest working weekend for Cornell since the 2006 NCAA regionals. I completely agree and hope it is a sign of things to come.by redhair34 - Hockey

grizzdan24That was a pretty goal! Barlow had incredible patience in feeding it to a cutting Riley through the slot. Barlow picked some time to have a career game.by redhair34 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 0 at Colgate 0 (1st Intermission) - 16 years ago
grizzdan24David Harding I wonder whether Cornell complaints about last night's non-calls could have led to ECACHL encouraging a tightly called game tonight. Possibly, and they also have a second referee there tonight (4 total), so that could have been as a result of last nights game. Jason mentioned last night that they'd be going with 4 for this game.by redhair34 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 0 at Colgate 0 (1st Intermission) 5 on 3 - 16 years ago
David HardingI wonder whether Cornell complaints about last night's non-calls could have led to ECACHL encouraging a tightly called game tonight. I think it's a combination of having a competent ref and they don't want to let things get out of hand after last night's extracurriculars.by redhair34 - Hockey
