Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Harvard v. Cornell - 22 years ago
Gotta agree, the game was great and the crowd was nothing like I've seen in my last four/five years here. The only thing I could've done without though were the extremely intoxicated girls in the row behind me who were using me and Melissa and leaning posts (they had problems standing) and the one girl who every other sentence (fragment) out of her mouth include the work f*ck. By the way, did anby judy - Hockey
Re: Penalties - 22 years ago
didn't their two penalties just expire though? I think that was how it was 5 players from each side fightingby judy - Hockey
Re: road conditions - 22 years ago
CNN's weather is forecasting a high of 54 in Ithaca for the day...maybe everything will melt... but then how do I play in snow?by judy - Hockey
Re: road conditions - 22 years ago
Well, since most people are either in Ithaca or headed to Ithaca tomorrow... for those there already, hey, no more driving for you... for those who will be on the roads tomorrow, good luck to us all and I hope that everybody makes it in one piece by 7.by judy - Hockey
Re: road conditions - 22 years ago
Josh, exit 7 or exit 8? I usually get out at exit 8, take a right at the off ramp, to the end of that road, left at the stop sign and hit the light with the Hess station...so I'm a little confused. Anyways, is this shortcut one that would be okay on a snowy/sleeting/whatever tomorrow will be kind of day?by judy - Hockey

Is it a link? or is it that my browser's not having it show up as a link?by judy - Hockey

I'd also like to say that there's nothing like Lynah. After catching a few games at HersheyPark Arena (next door to really yummy chocolate milk shakes at Chocolate World), I start the miss the atmosphere at Lynah. Where else can you get a constant stream of noise, taunting and lots of cheers?by judy - Hockey
Re: HARVARD SUCKS! - 22 years ago
Smoore-on is in Hershey and it doesn't look like he's going back to the Avs anytime soon since the other recalls to the Avs have actually produced something...goals, assists...and he didn't while he'd been there. He's not very productive, but then, neither is the team. (The just got off a 16 game winless streak) Hershey's got another game in Syracuse Friday night though I doubt anyone's interesteby judy - Hockey

only sign idea I can think of is... "Menu tonite: fish chowda...courtesy of section A, B..." silly I know...but you gotta love the chowda that comes out of boston - fish, clam, seafood...mmm...by judy - Hockey
Re: Remote Control Sieve Clarification - 22 years ago
No, "suck" not start this year. I remember doing it last year, and also "swallow!" but not a lot of people did that part. Ah, Walsh, the mad tapper...I remember him...it was amazing how after EVERY stoppage in play, you see in there...taptaptaptaptaptaptap...by judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
I really hope that all the weather men are wrong about the snow and the rain. I'd prefer rain to snow for Friday's drive... Anyone know why there aren't any major roads from any of the major high ways to Ithaca? 13 and 79 suck in the snow.by judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
and on 481 (between the thruway and 90), you just follow that to the end, exit 1. Stay in the left lane and that'll take you to 81 south towards binghamton. I believe they've upped the speed limit on this to 65 in the last couple of years. and also, around exit 2 or 3, there's a smelly factory.by judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
going by directions from jy3, the exit off the thruway for 481 is exit 34A and the first cortland exit is 12. done this drive too often and i had hours on hand so yes, i have memorized most of the exit numbers and such. and I think the tolls along this stretch of the thruway will cost you $3-4. haven't taken the thruway in a while and haven't paid attention to tolls since I got ezpass. as for tby judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
well hey, one of my friends got stopped for 76 on the pike...76! when most Mass people drive about 80 on that! the cops like the overpasses and the on/off ramps on 88 (as my dad has informed me)by judy - Hockey
Re: Showing Support - 22 years ago
goalie's name...anyone know who's starting in goal for Harvard? and speaking of fan clubs...wonder if the "do me dov" (or is it duv) girls will be here...though some how I doubt itby judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
Also, from Albany (exit 24) to the 88 exit (25A) the toll is $0.by judy - Hockey
Re: Boston to Ithaca - 22 years ago
I did this trip for 4 years... My fastest time was 5 hours 15 minutes straight. I've had a couple of friends make it in 5 with stops for food and gas... Mass pike west all the way to the border. Once in NY, you can either get out at exit B1 to stay on 90 and go through Albany or continue on to the Thruway. Staying on 90 through Albany is shorter distance-wise but the speed limit drops to 50 orby judy - Hockey

Is there any place in Lynah where that sheet can actually hang without blocking views? Under the scoreboard maybe...by judy - Hockey
Re: Welcome to the eLynah Forum! - 22 years ago
I'm sure I'll figure this out at some point but I thought I'd ask... Why is it (for example, if you go through the people who've posted on this thread), for those with names you can click on, some will direct you to a mailto: and others will go to their profile? Is it something about the information you enter into your profile or are some people special?by judy - Hockey

color schemes...now I know what I was thinking of...the yellow...kinda reminds me of Clarkson... but overall, I'm starting to like this new board, thanks Age!by judy - Hockey
