I don't understand. I had assumed I'd never been happy this season.by BMac - Hockey

Your performance is better, but I always think of this one:by BMac - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 9 years ago
Speaking of luck: Trevor Mingoia transferred from Union to PC, watched his teammates win the championship, and yesterday got to win his own.by BMac - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 9 years ago
Ha, I made the exact same post on facebook, down to the "thank goodness for CC" Here's the pic for everyone else's commiserationby BMac - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 9 years ago
Yeah, the student sections were pretty thin. BU had a whole section on the balcony that looked about the same size as their section for the HEA semis, but smaller than what you'd see at Agganis. UNO had a band and some cheerleaders. I heard that they brought three buses from Omaha full of students. $250 for travel, hotel and tickets. I can't imagine that ride back. PC had really small repreby BMac - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 9 years ago
The UNO-Providence game was merely ok, but made better by sitting right in front of the PC band. BU-NoDak was a great game. My BU friends were super surprised at coming out strong in the first, then biting their nails for the third period. Exact opposite of every other BU game this year, where they've been flat in the first and strong in the third. My first Frozen Four was a fun experienceby BMac - Hockey
Re: Time for a New Arena thread - 9 years ago
I take exception to "attendance went down the day they added new seats" First, this should be a thing we can just check. (Sadly, I don't really trust any arena's attendance stats anymore) Second, I was a student during the addition- Lynah went from completely full to more-completely full. Because the team was good! It sounds like the issue here is really one of townie vs. non-tby BMac - Hockey
Re: Red Hot Hockey returns to MSG in 2015 - 9 years ago
God, I hope Eichel signs. And Vesey, while we're at it. I'm going to the FF semis on Thursday... it's impossible to know for whom to cheer. North Dakota? BU? Ugggh.by BMac - Hockey

Re: Brackets - 9 years ago
Having lived in Boston for 6 years, I've never heard anyone call it "Boston Garden." Everyone calls it either "The Garden" or "TD Garden." Which was like 60% full for the HEA semis on Friday. God, I hate this season and everything about it. Can we go back to griping?by BMac - Hockey
Re: 2015-16 - 9 years ago
I love that you cited yourself. That's awesome. Also, when googling for your article, I found this. Did you know that you made part of Tennessee law?by BMac - Hockey
Re: Harvard vs Quinnipiac Who Do You Want? - 9 years ago
This is brutal. Harvard. But please, SLU, please win the tournament.by BMac - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros -- March - June 2015 - 9 years ago
> Same here (pens fan, but same principle). If I were picking a team of favorites that I've seen from Cornell (about the last decade or so), Cole'd be on one of the top lines. That's... a great question. Since 2005: My top two lines, because I'm lazy: Moulson-Nash-Greening Bardreau-Scott-Bitz ...? Miller? Mowrey? Gallagher? Senior-year Iggy? Abbots? on D, so many to choosby BMac - Hockey
Re: ECAC Prelims - 9 years ago
I'm surprised nobody here mentioned *what* the change was. Watch the interview- they asked specifically what was the change that he was talking about, and he answered: it was the forecheck. He changed the forecheck to get more offense and it just didn't work out. He's going back. God, the interview after his is brutal. So sorry for the seniors.by BMac - Hockey
Re: ECAC Prelims - 9 years ago
This is so sad. There are wake up calls and then there's this. I was an undergrad for Q in '07 and that hurt so much. Ouch. I liked how dangerous this team seemed in EAG situations, but this is so bad.by BMac - Hockey
Re: All-Ivy League team - 9 years ago
Princeton had as many honorees as Penn and Columbia- combined!by BMac - Hockey
Re: Old Cornell Hockey Videos/Photos - 9 years ago
I vaguely remember somebody linking to b&w footage of us winning in 1967. Or maybe it was that famous PC game. Part of an ESPN broadcast or something. You might just want to look through this forum's archives. I found this: Which refers to a clip ESPN showed on something called "Woody's World" The library seems like it has some 1970 footage: ...and in fact refers to thiby BMac - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 @ Harvard 3 (F/OT) - 9 years ago
Ok, am I crazy or are we, for the first time in a long time, frisky? Able to take it to a good team all of a sudden?by BMac - Hockey
Cornell 3 @ Harvard 3 (F/OT) - 9 years ago
Ack. I really thought Bardreau was going to score at the end there. That third H goal sucked. But nice tie all saidby BMac - Hockey
Re: Sucks game moved to 4PM - 9 years ago
Bump! Yikes, I hadn't gotten any indication of this.by BMac - Hockey
Re: Princeton at Cornell - 9 years ago
Nobody linked to the highlights: Really nice video of particularly the first two goals. Very pretty.by BMac - Hockey
Re: What a difference one goal makes - 9 years ago
How realistic is one more goal per game, though? I'd argue that just one more *goal*- not per game, just one goal- would have likely won the championship in 2004-05 or 2005-06 (when we lost to the eventual champion in regional finals, at their home state rink, in xOT). So... you know, coulda shoulda woulda. Give us the injured guys back and maybe we can turn this thing around. One thing I'lby BMac - Hockey
Re: State of eLynah Address - 9 years ago
Ha, don't assume any of us actually know what we're talking about! And thanks for posting. Bring your friends.by BMac - Hockey
Re: State of eLynah Address - 9 years ago
New favorite thing: the camera at the section a door. I got to watch the entire Harvard team walk off dejectedly. WHOOOOO!!!by BMac - Hockey
