Re: Cornell - Colgate Post Game Thread - 18 years ago
Rich S Following the logic usually espoused here, Byrne must be a "goon." After all, he took a major penalty and got tossed last week for a hit on Dodge. Any opposing player who gets a major for a similar infraction is a "goon", so...? Sure, you could say that silly chant through the entire game. You'd do a good job looking and sounding foolish. Better you should savby DisplacedCornellian - Hockey

According to this, tonight's game against Colgate will be available for viewing online, and if Cornell wins tonight the championship game will, also (but if we lose....no consy). Let's Go Red!by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2006 - 18 years ago
Leneveu picked up his first shutout of the season on Saturday night, stopping all 25 shots he faced. Lenny has quietly compiled some solid stats this season: he has 9 wins, 15 losses, and 2 shoot-out losses, with a 2.95 GAA and a .918 SV% (tied for 6th best in the AHL). Considering he's playing for perhaps the worst team in the league (San Antonio has a .355 winning % and has scored a whoppiby DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson, game 1 postgame - 18 years ago
This is kind of a random observation...but did anbody else notice how many water bottles Leggio was going through in the 1st OT?!? He must have gone through at least 4 or 5. Thirsty sieve (well..that and he was pouring it over his head)by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: cornell v golden showers, game 1 - 18 years ago
Rich SI'm never trying to take away your buzz or have you feel less good about your victories or team but a bit more balanced perspective about how things went or how the ref screwed your team would be good. To not acknowledge another team's efforts, even marginally and how they affected your own team's performance, sorry I disagree with that. You certainly won't find a balanced perspective oby DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2006 - 18 years ago
Leneveu continues to play out of his mind behind a porous defense, stopping 44 of 46 shots he faced tonight in a 4-2 win over Houston.by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2006 - 18 years ago
Leneveu continues to play hot for an ice-cold team. Last night he stopped the first 43 shots he saw, but the 44th got by him and San Antonio lost to Hamilton 1-0 in OT. Lenny was named the first star of the game for his efforts (the Hamilton goalie was named the third star for his 21 save shutout)by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Union on TV and free webcast - 18 years ago
It's just a silly request. You wouldn't go to ESPN.com if you didn't want to know the scores to an NHL game, would you? So why would you go to elynah if you didn't want to know the Cornell score. Geesh.by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros -- Feb 2006 - 18 years ago
Busy night for Leneveu last night. San Antonio won 4-3 after the shoot out, despite being outshot 53-20 through regulation and OT. Lenny stopped 50 of 53 shots through OT, and then 4 of 5 in the shoot out.by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros -- Feb 2006 - 18 years ago
Iggulden scored a hat trick in a losing effort last night, giving him 18 goals on the season so far. Iggulden scored three goals in a span of under 10 minutes, with PP goals at 19:33 of the 1st and 6:37 of the 2nd, and an even strength goal at 8:56 of the 2nd, but Cleveland fell to Houston, 6-4.by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 Clarkson 3 - 18 years ago
Rich S Then there's the items that get thrown onto the ice at Lynah as mentioned. Has a penalty ever been called for that? I can recall at least one occasion where a delay of game bench minor was called for fish being tossed at Harvard after play had started. Usually the fish fly during intros, then they clean it up and issue a warning - any further fishiness will result in a penalty.by DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
Re: Clarkson Pregame - 18 years ago
Rich SDon't you ever get tired of saying that? I think you should try looking in the mirror when you say it. It's a better fit. Geez, telling him to "always" root for Clarkson was just a humorous comment. Either sarcasm is lost on you, or you are on an entirely different level of sarcasm than the rest of us, in which case I applaud you. Edit: err...facetious-ness might be aby DisplacedCornellian - Hockey

Re: ECAC Chat on CSTV.com - 18 years ago
daredevilcuRich, I like you and all, and you raise some good points, but from a Clarkson fan to a Clarkson fan, it's very very clear you're just trying to stir up the pot a bit. When I posted a dissenting opinion they didn't argue, in fact the one person who responded to it agreed with me. Dissenting opinions are clearly allowed when you aren't being antagonistic. daredevil has it right, Richby DisplacedCornellian - Hockey
