Re: Cornell lacrosse 2023 - 1 year ago
mike1960 upprdeck Su scored to go up 12-11 then scored again to go up 13-11. Except the ref made a call on a ball everyone thought was a goal and as SU was stunned, ND ran back and scored won like the next 8 faceoffs SU barely got the ball again and got rolled. After the game the reds claimed that a save was made and the ball was then carried into the goal by the goalie and thats allowed?? Nby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Other Sports

mike1960 Jeff Hopkins '82 For those who get ACC Network, they're showing the ND - Cuse game. Now tied at 11 with a minute left in the 3rd. I'm not sure who I want to lose more -- Notre Dame or Syrexcuse. Seems pretty obvious whose gonna lose at the moment. ND 19 - SU 12 with 3 mins left. ND playing four corners. FWIW, Syracuse should have scored to take a 2 goal lead. When the ND goaby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Other Sports

FWIW, I'm rooting against the Big 10. I'm sick of hearing how wonderful they are from the ESPN announcers.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

jtwcornell91 Trotsky I have a confession to make. While we were in, I was rooting hard for the rest of the ECAC to advance. Now that we are out, my interest in the rest of the tournament has dropped to exactly zero. I still hope Q advances and wins, but I don't care. If the meteor fragments in the atmosphere, can it hit Bridgeport and Allentown? Give me some time to get out of town befby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

George64 Game highlights. Confirms my impression that Anish and Quint spent more time talking to each other than doing the play-by-play. I can't stand to watch them. It's the Howard Cosell school of broadcasting. Jabber, jabber, jabber. But for what it's worth, the editing of that clip was horrendous, too.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Other Sports

ugarte 13 minutes in. BU carrying play but not getting much to the net. The Red just had a great possession with a few decent chances. Still scoreless. Pronouncing SNHU "shnoo" has powerful U-H-N energy. I've always pronounced it shnoo.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

scoop85 Jeff Hopkins '82 BearLover Quinnipiac is well on its way to beating Merrimack, leading 3-0 with under eight minutes remaining. Even worse, they’ve looked dominant every time I’ve looked up to watch. Really have to hope Ohio State can take them out next round. What was horrible was just listening to the ESPN announcers talking about an "all Big Ten" Frozen Four. These guys donby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

dbilmes It took the ESPN announcers nearly the entire second period to notice that Harvard's backup sieve was in goal. Is he? They just showed a graphic saying the goalie who's i there has given up 7 goals today.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Weder nshapiro Is it possible that Saturday's game is a sellout and no tickets are available? Would assume that tickets allotted to the losing teams get released at some point, right? I saw two tickets that disappeared when I tried to buy them. Then I refreshed and two more appeared, but "somebody beat me to them." Another refresh and two more tickets magically appeared. JasonN95 The Rancor "ref beats his wife" is one long gone, and good riddance. Sadly, 3 blind mice is gone, with the addition of the fourth official. Long Diiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee always bothered me, but I've lived with it. Combining that cheer with the other distasteful “the ref f*cks sheep” into “the ref beats his sheep” did amuse me.
