Re: Milo sues UVM - 11 years ago
jtn27 Chris '03 Really? This kid, and whoever advises him, don't go away. Apparently being cut for a bad attitude is grounds for a suit. Why did he transfer to UVM? Is it possible there were behavioral issues at Cornell too? My recollection of Milo's rumored behavior and attitude at Cornell seem to be consistent with what seems to have happened at Vermont.by Will - Hockey

Bob Gaudet photos for the Dartmouth game - 13 years ago
Attached are photos of Bob Gaudet's infamous tantrum from a few years back, courtesy of mha. Please print them out at your leisure for use at the Dartmouth game tomorrow/tonight. One is cropped for letter size paper and the other for legal size paper. Of course, I wholeheartedly encourage you to print the photos on larger paper. I'll have about 100 copies to give to some friends in section Bby Will - Hockey

redice BigRedHockeyFan Idiot Fans! Bench minor on Cornell for fish on the ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I hope the people (Mike Schafer included) who support this infantile practice are happy....It has cost us another win over Harvard.... If Schafer's reaction as he left the bench for the locker room was any indication, he certainly wasn't happy with the fans or the fish tonight.by Will - Hockey
Colorado College on 2011-2012 schedule - 13 years ago
While the 2011-12 slate remains unconfirmed, Owens confirmed Cornell will visit Colorado Springs for a nonconference series. Hopefully this means we'll also see CC at Lynah in the 2012-2013 season.by Will - Hockey
Re: UAH and CCHA - opinion - 13 years ago
KeithK Do you really have to ask? If the B10,er12HC forms they will request and immediately be granted a waiver of the NCAA rule. I can't say what wording they'll put in for a justification but I'm confident that it will happen. Probably something to the effect of "We're the Big Ten, bitches."by Will - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
sockralex cth95 So far I have been unsuccessful in talking my wife into the fact that it will be now problem to bring a 3 1/2 week old baby. She also isn't too keen on me going with a few friends even if I drive back home Friday night and only go back Saturday if they win. I still think we should take our new daughter to see her first game. She was at the BU game, but she had an obstructed vby Will - Hockey

You can mention something about one of her early on-screen acting roles being having to hook up with Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation.by Will - Other Sports
Re: Albany Roll Call - 14 years ago
I'll be there with my wife Kristie. Come find us in Sec. 115. We'll be at Bayou for hoops as well if we can get to Albany in time.by Will - Hockey

Jim Hyla scoop85 UAH beats Niagara on a PP goal early in OT (3-2)So 12-17-3 UAH goes to the NCAAs on the strength of 2 wins. The first over RM 10-19-6 and then NU 12-20-4. And some team who has won 2/3 of their games stays home. Well at least Miami or Denver gets an easy game. Them's the breaks. But hey, look at it this way. The autobid causing this is about to go away forever, and in all likby Will - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - Where are They - 14 years ago
I suppose it's obvious, but Schafer and Jones are alumni coaching hockey. I know Hannah recently left Sacred Heart; any other alumni coaching in the NCAA ranks?by Will - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call - 15 years ago
Me plus one. It's her rookie season for Cornell hockey fandom, so please, be gentle.by Will - Hockey

Re: Cornell 3 RPI 0 Postgame - 15 years ago
Jim HylaOK, so I've got to ask it; how were the Snickers? Did he do a good job? Or did he chicken out at the last minute? After all, he was a backup. The "Safety Snickers" were great. Who's going to complain about free candy, though?by Will - Hockey
Re: Recruiting - 15 years ago
RitaTrotskyIt's not a terrible thing to have a Nieuwendyk every twenty years or so to keep the Cornell name in the news at the NHL level. What I would dearly love to have, though, is another Dryden. Given the amazing numbers put up by Cornell goalies over nearly the last decade, a guy going on and becoming a Vezina contender might assure that Cornell gets the top college-bound goaltending proby Will - Hockey

TrotskyugarteJeff Hopkins '82ugartesah67Beeeejsah67TrotskyThey had lost to Denver last weekend. Yeah...I'm an idiot. I even knew that. Mods can delete my embarassment if they so desire. Nah, it's more fun this way. Jerk. This is an inappropriate use of the jerk tag. As the next post in this thread is likely to be. Nice try. Jerk Typical. Re: Cornell No. 1 in ECAC Logo Ranking - 15 years ago
It's nice to be recognized, but I don't think we'd all agree with our own logo being the best in the conference. Some (most?) of us don't like it all that much. But you're absolutely right that RPI got hosed.by Will - Hockey

Riley, a forward, was presented with the Greg Ratushny Award, given to the freshman player who best exhibits enthusiasm for the team and Cornell University, camaraderie with his teammates and fellow students and promise for the future. Promise for a future with Cornell, I hope.by Will - Hockey
Re: Guest Editorial in Today's Sun - 16 years ago
Addressing a few points made in the article: High prices for student tickets limit the Cornell fan base and result in empty seats. By comparison, 2008 NCAA champion Boston College offers free tickets to students BC students are notorious for being bad hockey fans. Except for games against BU, I'm pretty sure BC home games rarely sell out. I'm sure BC would love to gouge their students if tby Will - Hockey
