Re: [Way OT] Big Red Planet - 20 years ago
Article about Opportunity landing. Right now there is a picture of Steve Squeyres talking to the Governator. Who, by the way, is the only one who has been to Mars (Total Recall). Hopefully the good news will keep coming.by sockralex - Hockey

Re: Harvard fans? - 20 years ago
Here is roughly what I posted on that USCHO thread: There was a penis drawn on something that resembled a pillsbury dough boy which had "Harvard" written on it and there was a sheep with "Cornell" on it. The dough boy was..... well lets just say it was XXX. I was surprised to see that they filled up two sections with student fans. From what I heard in the past they are usuaby sockralex - Hockey
Re: Cornell Hockey on Hi-Def TV - 20 years ago
I just got Hi-Def on Tuesday at my bro's and watched the Cornell-ND game from the Everblades the same night. The picture looked amazing. Alexby sockralex - Hockey

Re: Everblades in Hartford, CT - 20 years ago
I'd be up for watching the game somwhere. I don't know many places but I called Diamond Pub and Grill in Glastonbury, they only had nfl sunday package so that's what they will be all about tomorrow. I assume Sliders is going to be the same exact thing tomorrow. Don't know any other places. (not from here) If I find a place by 4:30 tomorrow I'll post it here. Alexby sockralex - Hockey
Re: Everblades in Hartford, CT - 20 years ago
Sliders was all football fans for the Pats game so I am home listening to the game. We'll see what we can find tomorrow. Please let me know how Finnigan's turned out. Thanks, Alexby sockralex - Hockey
Re: Everblades in Hartford, CT - 20 years ago
I don't know if they'll be showing the game at Sliders or not but I plan on showing up with some buddies and asking for it. Sunday is probably doubtful with football. BTW: Jean-Marc Pelletier played some good hockey for the Falcons tonight. Both goals scored on him were awesome non-selfish plays by the Wolf Pack that he couldn't stop. He had 2 great saves in a row at the end of the game on aby sockralex - Hockey
Everblades in Hartford, CT - 20 years ago
So I am working in Hartford this winter and need a Cornell hockey fix on Saturday. I think I am going to try to go to Sliders Sports Bar in Plainville for the game and see if I can watch it there. Is there a different place a group of people plans on meeting? EDIT: BTW, anyone planning on going to Springfield v Wolfpack games on Friday 26 @ Springfield, or Wed 31 @ Hartford? Just curious ifby sockralex - Hockey

Re: Ticket Line Procedures - 20 years ago
First I'd like to apologize to everyone who didn't get tickets this year because I was one of the many people who didn't follow the "rules" and came early. I read the rules and told myself, "If they send me home, then I'll come back at 4:45." I showed up around 7:30am on Friday and signed the "list." Number 80. After about 2 hours a CUPD officer came and told usby sockralex - Hockey
rink - 21 years ago
Although building a new rink would be great, I love the fact that Lynah is small. Everyone is close together. It feels like one big family cheering on their favorite team. Although I was not able to get season tickets and didn't see all the home games, its the fact that the atmosphere in such a small arena is so exciting that I didn't really mind not seeing all the games. Looking for a Ride From Buffalo on Saturday -- still looking - 21 years ago
In addition to being upset from the game this afternoon I am also stuck in Buffalo without a ride. Anyone who is going to the NCAA finals and coming back to Ithaca and has a spot for 1 person in their car please help a fellow Cornell Hockey fan. I am looking for a ride home after the Championship. I am ofcourse going to put up a share of the gas/toll/etc costs. Please let me know. Thanks.by sockralex - Hockey
Re: Parking Ideas? - 21 years ago

Re: UNH's Gare - 21 years ago
Funny, I don't see the discussion of a player’s injury as a moronic discussion. Considering that most of it is in favor of the player and no one ever said anything remotely close to "I hope he doesn't return in time to play us" - stating the likeliness that he will return - I don't even see how this thread can even be close to considered moronic. It only turned that way when #3 ("by sockralex - Hockey
Re: 4 Options - 21 years ago
Don't forget that there is a really confusing part in Albany where I90 turns into I87 and you need to move to that and then get back on I90 to stay on the NY thruway and then to get on Mass pike. I got confused there too many times. alexby sockralex - Hockey
