adamw Trotsky adamw Would it help if I told you all of these efforts were pointless? In the long run, what isn't? I was trying to think of something pithy along these lines, but couldn't think of anything, alas. Re BearLover: It's effectively zero. As it should be. The more enthusiastic a team’s fan base, the more votes its player(s) receive. As much as I abhor Harvard, Donato is a truby George64 - Hockey

Cornell takes a squeaker from Lock Haven 20-18. Darmstadt's pin at 1:07 of first period at 197 was decisive. Diakomihalis won by technical fall in second period before he could pin his opponent.by George64 - Other Sports

TrotskyA way to at least mitigate the risk would be to make him the heir apparent (associate vs assistant coach) and for Mike to give him an indication of how much longer he intends to coach. The first part is done. Syer’s title is Associate Head Coach.by George64 - Hockey

George64 Was there ever a game where we had two hat tricks? I found three occurrences in playoff games through 1986-87 where my record book ends. Doug and Dave (4) Ferguson against BC (3/8/66), Bob Ferguson and Mike Doran against Brown (3/7/67), and Brian Marrett and John Stornik against BU (3/10/79).by George64 - Hockey
Re: Canisius 12/30 - 6 years ago
coz That Barron Yates Cam line was so good I'm pretty sure I saw them getting double shifted in the 3rd to get Yates the hatty. Barron could've had one himself in just the last 10 mins with the chances that line generated. And he came very close! Was there ever a game where we had two hat tricks? Doug Ferguson had six goals against Hamilton (19-0 on 1/13/65), but I don't know if that should cby George64 - Hockey

Rita JC Tretter update. In the NFL free agency signing frenzy, JC Tretter left Green Bay to sign with the Cleveland Browns. 3 yr /16.75 million with 6.5 million guaranteed. He was on Sirius Radio/NFL Radio Monday 3/13 The Opening Drive show (10 am hour) with Bob Papa and Ross Tucker. Swampy At the time of this post, Dreck Tech's Paul Savell is leading by 43 votes. The final tally is in and Chris Kerber lost to Paul Savell by just over 100 votes (out of over 5000 votes cast). While I don't want to see our Athletic Department shamelessly hype our students and coaches for awards (e.g., Notre Dame's infamous "Theisman as in Heisman" campaign), it wouldn't have hurt ifby George64 - Other Sports

Chris Kerber has a slim lead in fan voting for USRowing Collegiate Coach of the Year. Cornell varsity lightweight 8s were IRA champions and undefeated on US waters three of the last four years.
