Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Quinnipiac QF - 6 years ago
dbilmes We've won a ton of close games this year. Let's hope we can pull out two more this weekend. Cornell has Galajda. Looking forward to puck drop.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: Bracketology Starts - 6 years ago
Trotsky Keep the regionals. Get rid of hosts and intraconference restriction and concentrate on seeding by actual region. Have a very tight rotation around 2-3 true regional sites Ditto, but with one exception. Playing in Denver always gives the altitude adapted teams an advantage (Denver, CC, Air Force).by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: ECAC Playoffs - 6 years ago
With a couple of bumps from Cornell, they will hopefully end up in the mid-thirties Pairwise. I just don't like them. They buzz around, shoot, shoot, shoot. They don't have a system.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

Angelo. He was good before. Now, he is a presence.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Union, 2/24/18 - 6 years ago
Schafer knows who's hurting and should sit. He knows best who needs ice time and who doesn't. I trust his judgement more than anyone else's.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

Re: Some History - 6 years ago
Next weekend will hopefully be be a home sweep. Allain is in PyeongChang coaching his alums. I think that makes Yale a weaker opponent. Brown has not been playing well lately, except for their tie with Clarkson.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence 2/10/18 - 6 years ago
Galajda looked unphased on Ryan Lough's breakaway. It's on the highlight video on the ECAC website. Galajda now leads the nation in GAA (1.47) and shutouts (8).by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

Alabama Huntsville almost took down Minn-State last night. Could have been a pairwise plus. They get another chance tonight.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

"And the answer is, It's no big deal at SLU." It's sad that their program kind of fell apart this year. That said, I hope Cornell wins tonight.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

I bet Harvard drops a lot in the Pairwise and the ECAC standings when Donato goes to PyeongChang. I hope Cornell can slow him down tonight.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey

I hope Anas is okay and able to play in the tournament for Q. I'm glad H lost.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: Future Coaching? - 8 years ago
If I were a college hockey player, I would prefer to play on a team that focused more on creative offense than on a structured and disciplined defense. Further, its more fun to score goals than it is to block shots. Despite that, I predict Schafer will be re-hired.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: NCAA regionals 2011 - 13 years ago
Jordan 04 CC putting on quite a show. BC forgot to play defense.by BigRedHockeyFan - Hockey
Re: Cu - 0 Yale - 6 after two - 13 years ago
Yale had a great offense last year and this year. I think one of the biggest reasons for their increased success this year is Rondeau, who statistically is the best goalie in the NCAA. GAA: 1.83 Save %: 0.932 Last year, all 4 Yale goalies had a GAA > 2.5 and a save % < 0.897 I'm sure everyone remembers the 9 goals that were given up to BC during the tournament.
