Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Cornell 0, Union 0 (1st) - 18 years ago
Glover being out of the lineup scares me... He's been one of the small bright spots of the D. Union ends a powerplay and still hasn't had a shot on goal!by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: "Important Message Tonight's Hockey Game" - 18 years ago
If its formatted exactly like the above, its kinda cute how Cornell would seeminly have you believe that New York State law has zero tolerance for profanity.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 @ Harvard 3 postgame thread (11/11/05) - 18 years ago
My own random thoughts about the game (First game I've seen all season) - McKee was okay. I missed the first goal, but the second and third goal were not stoppable. There were a few moments when McKee failed to gobble up the rebound, so he wasn't perfect, but the goals were not at all his fault. - Scott is a monster. I've never seen anyone skate around everyone as much as tonight. He is jby kaelistus - Hockey
Re: NCAA Scholarships change! - 18 years ago
You know.. The reason I call bullshit is because most of these schools don't have academic scholarships - just athletic ones. So bullshitting about giving academic scholarships to athletes is low. I find the whole concept disgraceful, and I would be ashamed to belong to one of these institutes.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: NCAA Scholarships change! - 18 years ago
This is retarded. Anyone who can't see how this will be abused needs to be removed from the premises. You know I read this and I see the opposite of what they see: We give you the right to draft 18 complete idiots who have no right to be here in the first place. I know that's what they do now (Hence why I love cheering for my scholarship free alma-matter), but why make it more and more obviousby kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Schafer Suspended One Game - 18 years ago
Still, Rich has a point. Schafer was wrong. He admits it himself. So, support him, but do not support his conduct.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: BE NICE to him... - 18 years ago
Yeah, I'm really liking this guy. I'm glad he's making himself accessible.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Recruits... - 18 years ago
And I thought the cheer would have been gone with the Moore brothers...by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: BE NICE to him... - 18 years ago
I hate to say this, but I'd rather my school had that blog than that bullshit webpage that pretends to be Cornell Athletics nowadays.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: MSU v. Cornell (Sat 10.29) - Game Thread - 18 years ago
No, damnit! I don't want to loose any players for the ECAC/Ivy opener!by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: MSU v. Cornell (Sat 10.29) - Game Thread - 18 years ago
Liz, you're just awesomeby kaelistus - Hockey
Re: All-Access Questions - 18 years ago
I just checked out All-Access and decided against taking it. Automatic Renewal of billing? Popups on every page? This is a disgrace. Cornell Athletics has truly bested themselves in their quest to provide the worst service money can buy. I will be sending them a letter soon expressing my dismay.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Lynah East Tickets.... - 18 years ago
A friend of mine just got 6 tickets through the phone. He said he couldn't get them online at around the same time.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: [OT] they have the money, but they still suck - 18 years ago
And yet they still charge 40k or so for entrance. Could someone explain to me why an alumni would give more money to them?by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Good Places to Eat Post Game? - 18 years ago
Is the Chariot gone already? That's a tragedy if there has ever been one in Ithaca.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Recruiting wars - 18 years ago
I always heard it as: Oh Really, Its Engineering?by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: OT: Watching TdF in Ithaca area - 18 years ago
Ditto here. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms for the rest day today! As for the non-believers... Your loss. The amount of strategy and tactics involved in this race makes oh so very exciting.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: OT: The Yankees - 19 years ago
CowbellGuy, That was my point in paragraph 3. Why lie your way around a stat when the real values convey the same message? And Trotsky. I couldn't disagree more. I want my team to play a clean game. When my team cheats, I'd like to believe that I'd be criticizing it too.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: OT: The Yankees - 19 years ago
MJH89 - Oh oh.. I can play that game.. Let me pick a random year that fits my ideal insult: 2001 - Yankees 0. I have to say, saying 26-6 makes the same point pretty well (Although its kinda a lame insult IMHO), why do so many yankee fans choose to bullshit the stats to make the discrepancy sound worse? It makes you look stupid. In any case, I totally disagree with your AROD comment. Aby kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Charlie Cook - 19 years ago
Alright Charlie!!! I wish you the best of luck to you in Post-Cornell hockey! We're all cheering for you.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Important Friday out-of-towns - 19 years ago
I wouldn't mind that.. Another 31 saves is probably around 3rd overtime right?by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Clarkson postgame thread (no scores updates) - 19 years ago
No kidding... Come on guys. Keep it in the rink. I, for one, like the fact that RichS is still posting around here, leave the personal insults out. RichS, inevitably there's always a few times when our fanbases will go too far, But "Nickerson eats babies" offensive??? HUH???by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Clarkson postgame thread (no scores updates) - 19 years ago
Drew, I'm not denying any of that.. I agree 100%.by kaelistus - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Clarkson postgame thread (no scores updates) - 19 years ago
Okay guys, this is totally mountains out of molehills. Jay L. was probably a bit frustrated and off the cusp spoke what he was thinking. Whatever, its not like he said he was going to go on a shooting spree or something. For the second year in a row, Clarkson played out of their mind. Guys, forget whatever Jay said and be glad Cornell stood up to them this time.by kaelistus - Hockey
