Yale, Princeton and Cornell lost to each other on the road, but won their home games.by Ken711 - Other Sports

74-71 Princeton 1:07. Oh well they gave them a good run. See them again at the ILT.by Ken711 - Other Sports

chimpfood Does anyone know if we get the one seed if we win out? I though yale had the tiebreaker over us (NET rating), but the Ivy League standings currently have Princeton, then Cornell, then Yale. Tall task to beat Princeton at Princeton tomorrow.by Ken711 - Other Sports

upprdeck In the long run as long as we beat Col/Penn the Princeton game was going to decide everything anyway. Losing to Brown doesn't do much to us, and perhaps kicks them in the butt. Need to use it as a wakeup call. Going to be tough to beat Princeton on the road. So far this season, none of the top three Cornell/Princeton/Yale have beaten the other away from their home court.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: New athletic director Nicki Moore - 2 months ago
upprdeck i would not be surprised if the SEC would be paying 5-10x as much as cornell. Yes, you're not going to be anywhere in the same ballpark salary wise. Hope she sticks around, but being a graduate of Missouri probably has some pull.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: New athletic director Nicki Moore - 2 months ago
A name to watch as Missouri now begins a search for an AD. Nicki Moore. She's currently Athletic Director at Cornell, but oversaw football and other North Carolina sports in a deputy role, and was also at Oklahoma. MU grad who ran track in the late 1990s.by Ken711 - Other Sports

mike1960 17-13. Game over. Good win. A few turnovers, probably weather related but some forced passes too. Overall good at X. Cascadden faltered a bit, and Psyllos won a few after that. The clearing game did not look sharp. Knust forced some long passes that led to a couple of turnovers. But Cornell caused several turnovers from rides. Still great at that aspect of the game. It is so greatby Ken711 - Other Sports

jjanow99 According to LiveStats the game hasn’t started yet… Yea, I guess it's too cold to type in the stats.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2024 - 2 months ago
mike1960 The Cornell D is sliding pretty early and making things tough on Lehigh on a day where passing is tricky. Wyatt Knust has made some A+ stops so far. Cornell has been dominant at the faceoffs so far. Good to hear.by Ken711 - Other Sports

semsox The women's team is currently playing Cal at Schoellkopf, and from the looks of things, the field conditions are definitely going to play a role in the game.' The new Meinig Fieldhouse can't come soon enough.by Ken711 - Other Sports

upprdeck Local Motion Who needs an indoor practice facility other than this recent snow storm (not even a big storm) both NYC and Ithaca have enjoyed a very mild winter. By the way, since I was a kid, Upstate has always been anywhere north of Yankee Stadium, although in reality it's probably the Tappan Zee Bridge (now the Mario Cuomo Bridge) on Route 87. I am sure the team is enjoying practicby Ken711 - Other Sports

Nice road win by the Big Red. The first away weekend road sweep since 2019. Yale beat Penn 74-58, with their 7' center leading the way with 24 points. He's going to be force in the Ivy League as he's only a sophomore.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Al DeFlorio From 19-0 to 34-35. Offense has become stsgnant. Not going to like this loss after that start.by Ken711 - Other Sports

George64 Mr. Niss I did not know that AK Okereke was a walk-on. I didn't know that walk-on was even still a thing except for a kid to sit at the end of the bench, get a few minutes in the last game of the year, score and have the place go nuts. Wow. As I recall, back in the Donahue era, Louis Dale was a walk-on. Whittman was under-recruited because of an injury his senior year and Jeff Footby Ken711 - Other Sports

upprdeck If cornell wants to be on the edge of an at large they need to split with Princeton. Yep. This would be a good statement win if they were able to pull it off.by Ken711 - Other Sports

billhoward SwampyWith luck, including great coaches and continued stellar recruiting, and assuming Ithaca weather does its part, there will be a couple of indoor games per year, and the lines to get tickets will resemble those to get season hockey tickets during the late sixties and early seventies. The early-season games draw a couple hundred people. But I'm unclear if limited seating means 100by Ken711 - Other Sports

billhoward David Harding One step at a time. Ithaca Planning Board has some suggestions. Ithaca Voice The board had some suggestions. Daniel Correa lauded the use of Sasaki Associates as landscape architect, but felt the landscaping was lacking in interest, and suggested decorative boulders or a small-quad like layout, and Chair Mitch Glass added that “it needs a lot more attention.” Emily Pby Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell's Sprint Football HC stepping down - 3 months ago
Trotsky dbilmes I assume the only reason Cornell still has a sprint football team is due to the fact that there are thousands of sprint football alumni who would be upset if Cornell dropped the program. We could probably say the same thing about the regular football program, too.Does it cost anything to run? I thought those things were clubs that self-funded? If so, who cares, let 'em wear theby Ken711 - Other Sports

David Harding One step at a time. Ithaca Planning Board has some suggestions. I watched the session. They didn't read the submitted site review documentation very well. Some of their questions/concerns were explained there. Anyway, I'm expecting it should move through the review process fairly smoothly, and construction to start in the Fall.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Cornell 105 Wells 49. Good game for the whole bench to get some minutes. The starters played the first 10 minutes before sitting out the rest of the game.by Ken711 - Other Sports
