Re: Princeton 3, Cornell 2, Final - 14 years ago
Not an enjoyable game to watch. Over the last 30 minutes, Cornell looked disorganized, a step off the play, and they were tripped a lot without any calls.by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: Princeton 1, Cornell 1, Second Intermission - 14 years ago
Not a good period for Cornell. I don't know what game the refs are watching. They missed some clear trips and crease violations against the Big Red. Scrivens is getting roughed up. Also, too many PP ops for Princeton.by lynah80 - Hockey

Congratulations to Collin Greening. The goal tonight gives him 100 career points: 46, 54, 100by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: CC 4, Cornell 2 (Florida Classic) postgame - 14 years ago
and Yale is only 3-2-2 against teams with a winning record. If you beat all the teams at or below 0.500 and split with all the teams above 0.500, you will end up with a winning percentage of over 0.750. That's not too bad.by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: CC 4, Cornell 2 (Florida Classic) postgame - 14 years ago
One last thought: I think J. Devin should be put back on the Greening/Gallagher line. Gallagher was completely shut down tonight and I didn't see him take any good shots from his best spots. It's unfortunate that Riley Nash doesn't have linemates who can set him up more often, but the Greening/Gallagher/J. Devin line has been very successful. One option: Greening/Gallagher/Kennedy Kennby lynah80 - Hockey

I agree with Bill. No doubt that CC is a very fast, skilled team. They looked like the best opponent Cornell has faced this year. Their puck control for the first two periods was excellent on both ends of the ice and they won some big faceoffs, especially during Cornell powerplays. Some of Cornell's 1st period penalties seemed to be a reaction to CC's speed; some could have also been a lack ofby lynah80 - Hockey
ECAC article at INCH worth a look - 14 years ago
INCH’s FIRST HALF ALL-ECAC HOCKEY TEAM G-Ben Scrivens, Cornell: The league’s leader in goals-against average and save percentage will continue to be cursed by “it’s a product of the system” stereotyping, but his play has gradually improved all season. D-Tom Dignard, Yale: The standout from the defending league champs missed the end of last season due to injury, but has been right back iby lynah80 - Hockey

Is college hockey getting more dangerous? Someone should do a retrospective epidemiological study (if one hasn't been done already).by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: USCHO: Dec. 7, 2009 - 14 years ago
Right now, the ECAC is 0-4-1 vs the WCHA. We need more games against them to really see how Cornell fits into the big picture.by lynah80 - Hockey
Polls: Dec. 7, 2009 - 14 years ago
Cornell's 3 point weekend was enough to move them up to #4 at INCH. The team has a great first unit PP and overall PK, but #4 seems a little generous to me. I really hope they can make a statement in Florida.by lynah80 - Hockey
1 point weekend for CC - 14 years ago
...but they were playing Denver. They have 2 against St. Cloud before they meet Cornell. Wins against CC and ND (in January) will be important for Cornell in Pairwise. Yale and Colgate can help too if they knock off Ferris St. and Notre Dame, respectively.by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: 2 Cornell 2 Union OT- Final - 14 years ago
Scrivens made a huge save at the end. 3 point weekend on the road. Union is a pretty good team. Still, I was hoping for more from Cornell. Looking forward to CC after the break.by lynah80 - Hockey
Re: 2 Cornell 2 Union (3rd period) - 14 years ago
Going into overtime. The game is still fast and physical. Some penalties could have been called (both sides) over the last 5 mins, but were not.by lynah80 - Hockey

Union breakaway, Krueger makes the tackle and takes the penalty. He did what he had to do.by lynah80 - Hockey
