Re: SLU cheers - 22 years ago
guys guys i was the one who suggested him going here. he did post on USCHO first. i figured everyone could spread their wisdom. and if u are worried about copyright, realize that it is on the web, anyone can grab anything about copyright. if he wanted to steal stuff he would be posting in another name so that he could get the link and then take and publish what he needs in another name!by jy3 - Hockey
Re: PWR Today, 2-17-02 - 22 years ago
jordan the problem this year is this... if there are no upsets in the tournaments for each of the conferences then you will get 5 bids. Now all of the conference leaders are in the top 12 in the computers EXCEPT mercyhurst, the maac leader. This means that if there are zero upsets, only numbers 1-11 plus mercyhurst will into the NCAAs. BUT for each tourney upset that does not result in a top 11 tby jy3 - Hockey
Re: Quarterfinal Tickets - 22 years ago

Re: Offtopic: Olympics - 22 years ago
pat, they have exclusive rights. what is even more annoying is that they do not even have multimedia clips on the web. so for someone who missed the us sweep of the pipe (like me), there is no seeing the runs. oh well.by jy3 - Hockey
some numbered things - 22 years ago
the way I heard it was... 1. dartmouth played well. they had pressure on underhill and he made some great saves. 2. boucher was unbelievable. grady said many times that boucher made "game saving" stops. he made more of these than underhill mainly because cornell had more of these opportunity. 3. both team hit posts, dartmouth more than cornell. 4. although cornell was hitting, dartmouthby jy3 - Hockey

Re: Cornell makes NHL.com's "In the Slot" again - 22 years ago
interesting. i think that i sat right near the guy who wrote the story. or a least he did so before the game started. One of the section O regulars was talking to someone about Cornell hockey and nhl and such. it was clear that he was a visitor and not hooked up with either team. I liked the article a lot. pretty good stuff. maybe espn will come and tape the harvard game next year? ps thereby jy3 - Hockey
Re: 2 NCAA bids for the MAAC - 22 years ago
the other thing the pollster ignores is the fact that if u get a maac upset without any others in their tourneys then mercyhurst has to be in the top 9 right? i doubt they can gain enough comparisons for that....by jy3 - Hockey
Re: Who's That Guy? - 22 years ago

what a game - 22 years ago
1st period cornell was flying high, shooting and passing and doing all sorts of wonderful things on D and O. but lombard made the saves 2nd period cornell opens well but falters and plays a mediocre second but have the lead and confidence. well played defensive second 3rd period yale turns it up, gets into passing lanes, and Cornell plays a little sloppy --> a tied game. lenny makes some greatby jy3 - Hockey
Re: Daily Sun - 22 years ago
Charles, Thank you for all the wrap-ups that have been written this year about the hockey games. I know that there are a bunch of Lynah Faithful who haven't the time or the resources to listen to the games or go. The paper gives them the opportunity to read about the games from someone who was there. I don't agree with the bad writing comments, and I should know somewhat since I was an English maby jy3 - Hockey

Re: One-way rivalries - 22 years ago
doh i didnt realize there was another thread on this... "The only thing that went wrong for the Red all night was when Manocchia —Lynah's reigning "Cowbell Guy" — dropped the miniature bat he uses to create the cowbell cadence, right in the middle of his "performance." from that article... sorry, age and wasnt the chicken tied to the goal post at Lynah East and not Lynby jy3 - Hockey
