Re: Good luck, Grady; welcome... - 21 years ago
also found out from the hockey office this week that adam has been wokring over old games on tape with grady and getting the feel for Big Red Hockey. ONly strange thing is that he might be commuting from philadelphia area for all games, so wonder who will do the Coach's Corner?by Brunke - Hockey

Alumni - 22 years ago
So is there any word on who is playing in this year's alumni game? Now with Joe in jerseyi expect he will at least be around. I know he has trained in the offseason at the fieldhouse, and i think he now has a summer home just outside of town. Just wondering if Chartrand, JMP (not really an alum is he?), or Elliot might be back for a little fun.by Brunke - Hockey

Re: East Regional scores - 22 years ago
COME ON BU (i can't believe i just said that) but would rather see them win then maine, sets up more fun when the terriers come to lynah for thanksgiving Besides, IF we get past UNH i would rather play BU, really kick this rivalry back into high gearby Brunke - Hockey
Re: CU- QU game analysis - 22 years ago
Fair enough Al, without being there to see it myself I was relying on second hand info. But like you siad it just doesn't matter. As long as we come out with intensity and intelligent play, we have a chance to rule the dayby Brunke - Hockey
Re: CU- QU game analysis - 22 years ago
Not being able to see the game, only rather to hear it, the feedback from a friend was that the quinnipiac player was camped out in front for the lone goal. maybe this was because we were not playing the top lines and defensive pairs, but leaving someone out in front can't happen today if we want to be in this game, UNH will eat us alive if we do. On a positive note, the special teams and forecby Brunke - Hockey
Now this would be a road trip - 22 years ago
From USCHO.com: About the attendance at the centrum yesterday The regionalization of this year’s tournament probably contributed to the record, as four of the five teams were from New England and the other, Cornell, would probably have a large cadre of supporters if the game was held in Vladivostok. — Mike Volonnino BRING ON UNH!by Brunke - Hockey

Re: Joe N. gets traded to Devils - 22 years ago
Wow Josh, nice research I meant NHL, I knew that Burgoyne was playing with Knopp and maybe Oates down in the ECHL for a while. edit note: its the main story on espn.go.comby Brunke - Hockey
Re: Joe N. gets traded to Devils - 22 years ago
Random good thoughts: (anything is better than studying toxicology) 1) Joe on Jersey does make it easier to have my home jersey signed by another alum in the pros (already have Dryden's, but being in carribean limits my live hockey exposure) 2) Since i do have to study, i leave this in the more than capable hands of the eLF, is Doug Stienstra still in the Jersey farm system? If so, two alums oby Brunke - Hockey
Re: Manderville to waddle - 22 years ago

Re: **Tix Available Thru CU** - 22 years ago
Just a thought: the frozen four is sold out according to USCHO, so if a team were to make it that their fans were hopeful for but did not buy tickets because they werent sure, would that school have an allotment of seats? can't make this weekend, damn tests, but would be able to make minnesota.......by Brunke - Hockey
Wisconsin - 22 years ago
From USCHO According to various published reports, Mike Eaves will be named the new coach at Wisconsin, perhaps as early as today. Eaves, 45, the Badgers' all-time leading scorer, is currently running the U.S. National Developmental Program and coaching the Under-18 team. Eaves would replace Jeff Sauer, who announced in January he would step down following this season after 20 years at the helmby Brunke - Hockey

Re: Underhill - 22 years ago
There's a great signature on the board, one that i just am too tired to find right now "cornell is not a university, rather independent fiefdoms UNITED by a hockey team" privacy is a MAJOR issue, true. the bill of rights gives us free speech (and therefore speculation) true. but let us NEVER forget why we all come here, to the eLF, for our UNITY. in all ways and shapres we follor, carby Brunke - Hockey

Re: USAir drops prices to upstate NY just in time for playoffs - 22 years ago
And for those that USAir doesnt help, there is also Jet Blue www.jetblue.com this one is incredible, for instance, its 300 bucks round trip from jan juan puerto rico to JFK (normally that flight is 450, now American wants almost 800 for it!) and they fly to buffalo, syracuse, rochester, and from Oakland, denver and the south. Real cheap, real nice (you even save money by buying online (5bucks offby Brunke - Hockey

2-25-02 Polls - 22 years ago
Didnt find the updated USA/Today Poll, but the 2-25 USCHO poll has us dropping a slot to #9. Think thats pretty fair. Hypothetically, with a 4 point weekend vs RIP and Onion, can we move higher? The polls stop once the regular season is over right?by Brunke - Hockey
U of Phoenix - 22 years ago
Anyone know why a little windown pops up promoting the Univ Of Phoenix everytime i go from elynah to the eLF? i guess its better than a random Harvard (SUCKS) window popping up!by Brunke - Hockey
Re: THANK YOU SENIORS! - 22 years ago
jy3 are you TRYING to get me to fail out of vet school? you know i would give my right arm for a home game, let alone the playoffs, let ALONE placid, and NCAA (that would leave me with no appendages...well one but anyway. thank but i think i am just going to have to wait till next year.by Brunke - Hockey
Travis Meyer - 22 years ago
This just about sums it up: Quote of the Day Travis Mayer, who won a silver medal in the men's moguls competition yesterday, is on a leave of absence from Cornell. Asked to compare moguls skiing to Ivy League academics, Mayer said, "Cornell is more of a dull pain. You can face a cataclysmic explosion on a moguls course or a gradual blood-letting @ Cornell."
