Re: Harvard 4, Cornell 3, Final - 13 years ago
The refs didn't actually blow a whistle and signal for a penalty until the bottle came out. The fish was immediately after the goal. The bottle was as the players skated to the bench and that's when the ref called the penalty. There had at least two or three other fish instances previously that the refs let slide. The bottle was a direct shot at the goalie, too. Not 100% sure but that's whatby RobertSchur - Hockey

I was sitting right behind the perpetrator. The penalty actually wasn't called for a fish but rather the plastic bottle that followed the fish. The ushers converged, my buddies and I pointed him out, and they did absolutely nothing. One usher talked to the frat boy who threw the bottle but did nothing else. After the final whistle, another usher scolded the offender. He just stood there, threby RobertSchur - Hockey
New Cowbell Guy - 13 years ago
Hello Everyone, I am writing to announce that the Cowbell will be changing hands next semester. I have passed the Cowbell to Andy Hu, a friend of mine and a junior in the ILR School. I have no doubt that he will do a fine job. I made this decision in light of various academic and extracurricular obligations that have before and will again preclude me from attending some of the road games.by RobertSchur - Hockey

Grandparents sold their house on Marco Island and moved back to Ohio, so I'm afraid not.by RobertSchur - Hockey

Can we still get tickets at the student price from the Prudential Center box office? I have two for myself but a friend who may want to join at the last second.by RobertSchur - Hockey
Re: Yale 4 @ Cornell 2_ 11/19 - 13 years ago
Agreed on all points above with one additional observation to Kyle's point. Kyle Rose My observations from seeing the game in-person: (1) Cornell looked great in the first period and skated well with Yale, notwithstanding a few whiffed passes. By the third period, they were gassed, and looked absolutely awful in the last five minutes of the game: probably the worst I have ever seen them plby RobertSchur - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0 St. Lawrence 3 (final) - 13 years ago
I could hear the voice of my father coaching my pee wee teams in my head last night as I watched this game. "GET TO THE NET, STICK ON THE ICE." Nobody got in front of the SLU goalie for very long, if at all, as Cornell scrambled around the Saints' zone flailing for some semblance of puck control. Our forechecking was non-existent last night and I can recall any one instance of any suby RobertSchur - Hockey

Any reason this game is listed on my season tickets schedule (lower right corner of the sheet) as a "scrimmage" instead of exhibition? Is there some significant difference? Tomorrow's game is still an exhibition.by RobertSchur - Hockey

For those curious, the computers didn't crash this morning! Instead, by 6:31, I was saving my confirmation and going back to bed. We'll see how Friday ends upby RobertSchur - Hockey
Re: CU at Harvard tickets on sale today - 13 years ago
There are singles available, though not in the Cornell corner. A ticket is just a way in the door though, so I'll probably just instruct the crew to buy the singles and we'll find a place to sit together.by RobertSchur - Hockey

Ooops...Did NOT anticipate this and only just saw it. The new cowbell guy just got shut out of Harvard tickets. Anybody have extras to sell? PM me please if you do.by RobertSchur - Hockey
Re: CU's 2010-2011 Schedule - 13 years ago
So what's the deal with the Thanksgiving Newark game? Neither Cornell nor Colgate lists it. I spoke to the ticket office on the phone a week before the schedule came out and was told that Schafer was about to return from vacation and it wouldn't be long until they finalized the paperwork. Guess they were wrong?by RobertSchur - Hockey

Blake Gallagher has also been added to the lineup. Yes, the show should be available for download at WVBR.com but will have to verify.by RobertSchur - Hockey
