Yet another honors student at Harvard - 21 years ago
So, if you click on the link to see the graphic bar graph, you get a beautiful representation of what honors means from school to school. -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Shot differential - 21 years ago
Thanks Guys! Ask and ye shall receive. Nice to see that if you gave the opponents another full period, at their current averages, they could catch up. Thanks again Adam and Age! -Johnby JohnnyB - Hockey
Shot differential - 21 years ago
Hey Age, got another challenge for you, since posting the Ivy standings was so simple. I was curious to see the shot differential that Cornell subjects opponents to, especially by period since we seem to completely shut down most of our opponents in the third. Any chance my wishes can come true? Thanks! -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Clarkson Band - 21 years ago
I sat in Section O during J.R. Prestifilipo's final hockey game. We had the Harvard parents wearing the T-shirts that spelled out "Cornell Sucks", plus the shirtless guys spelling out "We Suck". Also, J.R.'s mom was there. It was so much fun being in the vistors section for that game, all the energy being directed towards us. I recommend the experience for all the Faithfulby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Matt the Bruin - 21 years ago
Rumor has it that, with the acquisition of Jeff Hackett (finally playing their Kyle McLaren card), the Bruins will be sending Raycroft back to Providence. Evidently they are keeping Shields (why is beyond me). This does not speak well for Underhill's chances of staying with Providence, though they may keep him around for a while until the mess in Boston is sorted out.... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Hobey Baker Fan Voting - 21 years ago
So, are we going to concentrate votes on a single player or distribute as we see fit. We can have a huge impact on one person should we so choose. The question is, who..... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey

Anyone know if you can get livestats for this game? Should be entertaining...by JohnnyB - Hockey

Try again, I guess.... Otherwise, just search for Cornell hockey on ebay.... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey

Chartrand - 21 years ago
Another short hander for the boy last night. His goal was nicely replayed on Sportscenter. On other NHL stuff, I still pains me to see that Vermont Midget St. Louis having so much success. Part of me is glad for Vermont and the ECAC but man, I hated that little bugger.... -Johnby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: [OT] Sarah Hughes and Harvard? - 21 years ago
And I thought you were committed to a school if you applied early decision, no switching after that.... Well, now we can run into her and Princess Amidala in Harvard Square.... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: off topic - worm warning - 21 years ago
Man, after reading the posts on USCHO's message board, I did wish a nasty disease on some people, but this seems a bit ridiculous. almost as ridiculous as the unending Mac vs Windows debate.... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey

Thank God I went to Cornell - 21 years ago
So, seven Red fans were in attendance last night to my knowledge. The crowd was supposedly a sell-out and was about 50/50 Harvard/BC fans. The place was so damn quiet. Occassionally a small group would start chanting Let's go Harvard but beyond the occassion goal scored, you could have heard a pin drop. If we had chanted BU rejects it would have been heard around the rink! It was a decent gaby JohnnyB - Hockey
OT: LOTR - 21 years ago
Okay, this is ridiculous. I jusst went to the downtown Boston movie theater to get tickets for Two Towers. They, as of right now, are showing it on four screens. All sold out.... I thought I was planning ahead. Welcome to the equivalent of the Cornell Harvard game in Lynah East.... -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey

The jersey is with me. It will be on for the game Tonight's gonna feel wrong, but be fun anyways.by JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. BC - 21 years ago
Alright, you guys, you definitely have to stop by Grendels. i want to witness this debate in person. I will be rooting for Harvard, as much as it pains me deep in my heart to say that. The ECAC has done quite well recently in the interleague play and I definitely want to see that continue. So, for an evening, we put our many differences (bastards didn't accept me into grad school....), shakeby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. BC - 21 years ago
I'll be there with Lisa McGill. I, at least, will be wearing a Cornell Hockey hat with Harvard Sucks embroidered on the back. We'll be getting to Grendel's around 6 and would welcome any company. You may also find us wearing #17 (her) and #21 (me) if we decide to bust out the full outfits. If you don't make into Grendels we'll be in section 1 row 3. -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: The Polls... - 21 years ago
I would have to add Erasmo Sartarelli, old Princeton goalie, fully acknowleding the Cornell crowd. First, as the crowd was chanting "Drink", he grabbed the waterbottle, brought it to his mouth, then shook his head and put it back. Then, after several goals had been scored on him and the crowd was chanting, "MVP", him nodding his head in agreement. Then there was the entire Wby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd vs. BC - 21 years ago
I wouldn't do full Cornell garb, no need. I'll wear the hat just because it is appropriate for Lynah East. I'm thinking Grendel's Den may be a great place to hit before the game. I believe that would qualify as happy hour, good cheap food. We're sitting in section 1. -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Re: The Polls... - 21 years ago
Actually, they weren't teenieboppers. They were in their mid-thirties. I was sitting in the row in front of them. I went to UNH as well as Cornell but we all held our tongues to see how long the whole thing would last. -Jby JohnnyB - Hockey
Hahvahd vs. BC - 21 years ago
Any of you guys heading out to the game? I'll be checking it out. Kinda sad, been in Boston for four years and still haven't managed to get to a BC home game. Getting tickets is not easy. So, might as well see them at Lynah East. Now, the question is, do I wear my Cornell hat which has 'Harvard Sucks' embroidered on the back even though that may be who we support (quietly, of course)? -joby JohnnyB - Hockey

Re: Congrats to the Big Red - 21 years ago
I'll agree with you on the poll. We probably will have narrowed down the point gap that existed. BC lost to Dartmouth, North Dakota won and tied, Denver and CC beat the crap out of Mercyhurst and Air Force, Maine only played once and beat Quinnipiac (a win that will no doubt woo the voters), etc... Beyond BC, no major upsets. I also think that we should be safe from being passed from behind wby JohnnyB - Hockey
