Nice win for Matt last night in Albany. Always helps to backstop a solid team.

A solid team indeed.
Their Record: 28-10-6-2 for 64 points
...which is the second highest point total in the AHL (28 teams).

Rumor has it that, with the acquisition of Jeff Hackett (finally playing their Kyle McLaren card), the Bruins will be sending Raycroft back to Providence. Evidently they are keeping Shields (why is beyond me). This does not speak well for Underhill's chances of staying with Providence, though they may keep him around for a while until the mess in Boston is sorted out....

Although last night, during the game on ESPN, Gary Thorne and Bill Clement seemed to suggest that the Bruins were in fact NOT interested in keeping Shields. Besides, Raycroft played well last night. Also, Underhill will probably start a game for Providence this weekend, hoping to improve his 1-0-0 record.

I can't imagine keeping Shields. He could probably be worth something in a trade and Raycroft has been playing pretty well (last night's game too).
