Re: Attending football game help - 5 years ago
Trotsky Park in C Town and walk over the bridge. That's if you can find a spot. Finding parking in Collegetown can sometimes be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.by Iceberg - Other Sports
Re: Attending football game help - 5 years ago
You could always try checking one of the academic building lots on Tower Rd. Parking in those lots on a weekend didn't require a permit (or at least it didn't last year). Just be sure to look at the signage.by Iceberg - Other Sports
Re: 2018 NHL Draft - 6 years ago
I don't think he sticks around for more than 2 years.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
This isn't NCAA related, but I just saw a guy in the audience (not far from the Capitals net ) wearing a Cornell shirt/jersey during the Cup celebrations. Which one of you was it?by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2018 - 6 years ago
Yale is making Albany look like a pee-wee team so far. Never any guarantees of anything apparently, even close games.by Iceberg - Other Sports

Albany/Yale is set for next weekend. Tomorrow's games and the final four will be very interesting.by Iceberg - Other Sports
Re: NCAA Regionals Friday 3/23 - 6 years ago
Duluth impresses me. They don't necessarily have accolades during the regular season or NCHC tournament but they always seem to squeak out wins in the NCAA's.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Cornell-BU - 6 years ago
That's just unfortunate. Both teams played well and the game was pretty even but BU got the key goals in a game that mattered, which seems to happen a lot for them. And I don't know if it was just me, but the ESPN feed was garbage and kept freezing frequently.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Not related to any team nearby, but Don Lucia steps down as Minnesota coach. Minnesota hasn't been the same team since their Frozen Four appearance a few years ago.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: 2018-19 Schedule - 6 years ago
I would think it would be a third game. That's what Harvard and Yale did when they played those few years at MSG.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: ECAC Playoffs - 6 years ago
Beeeej Clarkson and Harvard force a third game, but Princeton scores with 10 seconds left to sweep the upset of Union. And as the lowest seed left, this means that Princeton would face Cornell regardless of any other outcomes (assuming the latter hangs on tonight).by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Quinnipiac QF Game 2 - 6 years ago
marty Iceberg Is anyone else getting the "5000: Content not available" error? Maybe it's because I'm not the US currently, but I would think that doesn't matter in this instance. Which feed and what device are you using? I ask because I had an error with Twitched on ROKU until I backed out more than I would have anticipated. I'm using my PC to get to Eleven Sports Prime on Chroby Iceberg - Hockey

Re: Cornell lacrosse 2018 - 6 years ago
Lots of folks around me were complaining about officiating, and not necessarily Cornell fans either.by Iceberg - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2018 - @ Albany - 6 years ago
I'm by no means a lacrosse expert, but from my spot in the windy stands this looked like a very winnable game.by Iceberg - Other Sports
Re: ECAC Prelim Weekend - 6 years ago
billhoward Anybody holding out for a Brown or St. Lawrence comeback for the ages? I can see St. Lawrence doing it. Brown not so much.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2018 - 6 years ago
The game here in Albany has been pushed back to Sunday at 1 PM because of today's snowstorm in the region.by Iceberg - Other Sports

1st ECAC round is set. SLU/Dartmouth RPI/Colgate Brown/Princeton QU/Yaleby Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Dartmouth also takes out Yale, so they're locked into the 5th spot and will host SLU next weekend.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Dafatone For as terrible as the ECAC has been, Hockey East has been even worse, at least in terms of comparing top teams. The funny thing about Hockey East is that the team likely to finish 1st in the conference--BC--hasn't beaten a single OOC opponent. It's a good thing that the CC Rule doesn't exist anymore. The thought that at one time a team could theoretically get into the NCAA's by wiby Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Clarkson loses again, but this time they give up 5 goals. They'll host P and Q next weekend but at the rate they're going they might play themselves right out of a NCAA bid.by Iceberg - Hockey
Yale at Cornell 2/17 - 6 years ago
Yale has been scoring goals recently and have won their last 3 conference games and last 5 games overall. They've scored at least 3 goals in all the victories and seem determined to host a playoff series in the first round.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Bracketology Starts - 6 years ago
I bought tickets for the regional in Albany two years ago. They were unable to be re-sold then and I doubt that has changed regarding tickets for regionals (which often don't sell out anyway). Frozen Four tickets are a different story.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Northeastern has a scary top line. They're the kind of team that can make either make a run or fizzle out in their first big game (almost like Union last year).by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence 2/10/18 - 6 years ago
Iceberg Butt-ending major on SLU. I can't remember the last time I've seen one of those. And now the guy who did it, Gicewicz, gets suspended for 1 game by the ECAC. He won't be playing Friday against Harvard.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Some History - 6 years ago
Yale winning that year is a testament to the fact that no one's really out of the running in the NCAA's. IIRC Yale had only gotten in because the result of the final CCHA game went in their favor.by Iceberg - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ St. Lawrence 2/10/18 - 6 years ago
KenP I really like the St. Lawrence announcer. He understands the game and his talking helps you understand what you are seeing. And on the other side, he's not hesitant to express his displeasure for the officials tonight.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
The Beanpot starts today at 5 PM with BC/Northeastern and then BU/Harvard later. The best case scenario would probably be BU or Harvard winning against Northeastern in the final.by Iceberg - Hockey
Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
Q didn't look very good on Tuesday but they were good enough to wallop Clarkson tonight apparently.by Iceberg - Hockey
