Newark Star Ledger ran a fron-page (sports section) piece on it last week. It's impressive for Cornell's case that he'd give up one year of NCAA wrestling (by studying at TC3) in order to get in to Cornell. Which was mentioned in the story.

I don't think he gives up a year of NCAA wrestling. Manotti, I believe, did the same thing, and he wrestled four years at Cornell. But then, I didn't read the Star Ledger piece. yark

Good point. I believe it hinges on whether you play the junior college sport or not. Cornell lax players who come in after one or two years at Nassau Community College have one or two years less eligibility at Cornell. In this case, TC3 may be like going to prep school for a post-graduate year, only without the gray flannel slacks and blazers.
