The knock on Cornell hockey was we didn't (weren't able to) schedule enough top teams. Lacrosse plays six of the ranked teams and scrimmaged three others (bolded). [edit] Plus we've played others in the past year or two (including NC, not right now in the top 20). Hard to believe we're just two seasons removed from a 14-4 loss to Georgetown.

I know UAlbany doesn't fit the profile of our opponents (I doubt we recruit the same players) but their sports programs are rapidly improving.

Looks like you're going to have to take Duke off the list of 'top teams' for this year. Although it'll be interesting to see how the selection committee handles it. And the lax committee has enough leeway that its actually an important question.

Seriously. Ask UConn.atb9

With No. 2 Cornell's stumble, do the polls vault someone past the Big Red? Question is, who? No. 3 Maryland got walloped 15-5 by No. 1 Virginia. No. 4 Hofstra went to OT to win against No. 12 Towson, No. 5 Georgetown got past No. 8 Navy by 9-5, and No. 6 Princeton (with two losses) beat Yale 12-8. Georgetown as No. 2 now? Its lone loss was a month ago, 10-4, to Virginia. (Cornell opponents in bold.)
