Harvard broadcasters being Harvard broadcasters: "He's allowed just 2 goals on the last 7 saves he's made."
Princeton closing to 8-5 nearing the end of the 3rd.

Final Harvard 9-8. Tigers got it all back except the final goal. Would've helped us immensely in securing the Ivy tournament home site.RichH

That's a final. Harvard maintains possession for the final 1:15 after a big save and beats Princeton 9-8.
Penn 9, Dartmouth 3.

Who would have ever thought that Princeton wouldn't even make it to the Ivy tournament?

Indeed. The field is set now, with some combination of Harvard/Penn/Yale/Cornell in the tournament.

if Harvard beats Yale next week, its at Harvard and the order is Harvard, Cornell, Penn, Yale

The Cornell/Princeton game has no bearing for purposes of the Ivy Tournament location and seedings.

When was the last time we could say that? (Or, pre-tournament, say that the Cornell-Princeton game really had no significance as it relates to the Ivy League.)

Princeton could still mess with us next week. They looked plenty potent in the second half at Harvard. Imagine flaming out on Long Island vs. the Tigers and then a loss in the Ivy tournament. We'd head to the NCAAs with a 10-5 or 11-5 record and quality wins over only one non-Ivy top 20 team, Virginia, plus Ivy top 20 wins over Penn and Yale, against losses to Syracuse, Hofstra and Harvard. Let's hope poll rankings play true to form and Yale takes out Harvard next week.margolism

For Princeton midfielder Tom Schreiber, first pick in the MLL draft in January, his NCAA tournament career will have been one game, a first-round loss at Virginia sophomore year. Ditto for the rest of the Princeton senior class. That feels more like they're down, not out.
