All due respect to Mathews, but I can't really argue with this. Epperly had the highest completion percentage and fewest interceptions of anyone with over 100 passing attempts, and also threw for the most touchdowns (25). He was also Princeton's leading rusher (4th overall in the league) with 570 yards and 5 YPC and led the league with 18 rushing TDs.

Epperly completed 29 straight passes at one point, 32x35 overall, against, ah, us. And there were 3 games Princeton was so far out front, he didn't play at all or much in the second half. A Princeton neighbor says their third or fourth string QB, a freshman, has the best arm in the Ivy League. And Princeton is getting some commmits, he says, that were looking at scholarship schools. I think the point is that Princeton has reloaded and could be the next Harvard. All in the span of 4 years.

How noteworthy was our punter that he got ROTY?

Congratulations to him. He gets a lot of practice.

Upon a cursory look through the season's stats, it doesn't look like all that many freshmen had a big impact this year. I can't say whether this is atypical.

Epperly and Hodges are the O and D POTY, respectively.
