The other teams are probably griping on their forums about the unfair advantage Cornell has with Watkins Glen in its back yard.

Cornell FSAE couldn't have more stacked against it. Limited space, extremely short running season, crappy weather, crappy parking lots to test in, and needing to self-generate the bulk of their funding. Back in my day we were often relegated to F-lot behind Morrison and I'd have to set up dinky little test courses around parked cars, potholes, poor drainage, you-name-it. UTA got to run year-round in the dry Texas sun and generally had all their old cars available to test with in their big, Texas-sized lots. Not that I'm bitter. We still kicked their asses.

Admit it, the team didn't really kick ass, it was the system.
