IL has posted a survey of the top junior/HS lax players in Canada in the classes of 2011 and 2012. Interesting that our only listed recruit in 2011 comes in at #33, but in 2012, we have 3 in the top 20, including #'s 3 and 10.
While that might only be a coincidence, hopefully it's a sign that DeLuca and his staff are showing real success on the recruiting trail.
The complete list.

Beyond 2012 even - if I'm reading this right, the group out of which Cornell has commitments from 3 of the top 20 ranked players is current juniors who will graduate high school in 2012 and start college in 2012-2013, i.e. play their first season for Cornell in the spring of 2013. Pretty far off, in other words, but it's still nice to see our staff bringing in highly-regarded players.scoop85

It's also pretty interesting that among the top 20 in that class, three have committed to Cornell, two to Hopkins, one to Robert Morris, and the rest are uncommitted. Nice to see Cornell getting in on the early harvest, and it makes me wonder if this might be like the trend we've already seen in hockey. (I remember when Schafer was quoted as saying how much risk was involved in taking a kid before their senior year, but apparently after being beaten out for top talent, we stated getting younger hockey recruits. BRP currently lists four recruits for 2012 or later.)
Conversely, while we don't have any recruits in the top 20 of those graduating in 2011, it's interesting that eight of twenty are still uncommitted. Lacrosse is not hockey, so it's not as if these guys are going to opt for the OHL and have NHL stars in their eyes.
The uncommitted include #5 Patrick Corbett, Hill Academy teammate of Cornellians Daniel Linter and Erik Turner. Rated one of the best middies ever at Hill Academy, Corbett sounds as if he'd look great in a Big Red uniform.
