Lax 2010 touranment seeding

Painful as the one-goal loss to Syracuse was, the outcome showed we could play with Syracuse (and Princeton can't). That possibility wasn't top-of-mind before the game. But what's worse: It's probably going to hurt when it comes time to seed for the tournament. We've got a quality loss here (such as they are, but still a loss) and a blowout loss to Virginia plus that silly loss to Dartmouth - which is three losses. While the NCAA says it's all done fairly and equitably, Cornell has gotten shafted just about every year for the past five. (Let's ignore those losses-that-shouldn't-have-happened to UMass and Ohio State that suggests sometimes we are overrated.) Who knows if the NCAA thinks we belong on the road for the first game in 2010, or if the seeding path for the second game puts us up against a Virginia or Syracuse or North Carolina. Something we might have avoided had we beaten Syracuse.

All I can say is I've developed a short-term interest in having an Ivy tournament.

Who knows if we are even going to make it in? If we don't beat Princeton we are pretty much going to have to win the ivy tournament to get in.
